Keshabpur is an upazila town in Jashore District. It is the headquarters of Keshabpur Upazila. It lies on the bank of Harihar and Burivodra River. The town is under justification of Keshabpur thana. It located 32 km south of Jessore, and about 42 km south west of Khulna. It is one of major town in Jashore district.

Local elections in Bangladesh from 2024 to 2029 includes elections to the city corporation, district chairmen election, sub-district chairmen election and union council elections in several municipalities and local bodies.

2024 Bangladesh post-resignation violence refers to the violence that took place in Bangladesh after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina, targeting Awami League supporters, religious minorities, government and security officials. On the day of the resignation 25 police officers were killed. According to the Daily Sun at least 119 were killed that day. According to Prothom Alo 1494 scuptures and monuments were vandalized across Bangladesh after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina.
