The Bangladesh Chhatra League, formerly known as the East Pakistan Student League, often simply called the Chhatra League, is a students' political organisation in Bangladesh, founded by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 4 January 1948. BSL is the student wing of the Bangladesh Awami League.

2024 Bangladesh post-resignation violence refers to the violence that took place in Bangladesh after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina, targeting Awami League supporters, religious minorities, government and security officials. On the day of the resignation 25 police officers were killed. According to the Daily Sun at least 119 were killed that day. According to Prothom Alo 1494 scuptures and monuments were vandalized across Bangladesh after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina.
