The 2025 MAC Football Championship Game is a college football conference championship game that will be played on December 6, 2025, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. It will be the 29th edition of the MAC Football Championship Game and determined the champion of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) for the 2025 season. The game will begin at 12:00 p.m. EST and air on ESPN. ^{[1] [2]}

For the second year, the participants were not determined by division winners. ^[3] Following the 2023 season the MAC eliminated divisions and the game now features the teams with the best conference records. ^[4] A new tiebreaker system was established to compare teams with the same conference record. ^[5]

Venue

The 2025 MAC title game was held at Ford Field for the 22nd consecutive season. ^{[6] [7]} The venue, located in downtown Detroit at 2000 Brush St., is the home of the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL) and has a seating capacity for football of 65,000. ^[8]

Teams

The game will feature the teams with the best conference records without regard to divisions. ^[9] As of November 23, five teams remain in contention. Western Michigan is in sole possession of first place in the MAC standings with a 6–1 record. ^[10] They control their own destiny and will advance to the championship game with a win over Eastern Michigan. It is possible for them to advance with a loss but they have not clinched. ^[11] Central Michigan, Miami, Toledo, and Ohio all currently stand with two conference losses. None control their own destiny and are all in varying need of help. ^[12]
