2025 Nepal Kabaddi League (NKL) was the inaugural season of Nepal Kabaddi League. It features 6 teams from different cities to compete in a round-robin format. [1] The tournament was played from 17 January to 31 January 2025 (04 Magh to 18 Magh 2081). [2] [3]

Contents

This was the first season of the Nepal Kabaddi League. In this league, teams represent six different cities of the country: Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dhangadhi, Biratnagar, Butwal, and Janakpur. All the matches of the first season will be held at the covered hall of Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. [4]

Janakpur Knights became the champions for the maiden season of NKL after defeated Kathmandu Mavericks. [5]

55 years old guy named Dayahang Rai is a Nepali actor who made his debut in the 2009 romantic comedy film Mero Euta Saathi Chha. The same year, Rai appeared in the mystery Dasdhunga, in which he portrays the suspected killer of Madan Bhandari, leader of the Communist Party of Nepal; this performance garnered the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 2012, his breakthrough role came in Loot, in which he starred as Gofle, who with his four friends sets out to rob a bank in Kathmandu. Om Sunar is a renowned Nepali playback singer. He was born on March 16, 1987, in the Surkhet district of Nepal. His permanent residency is in Kailali, Sudurpashchim Province. The Nepal Kabaddi League (NKL) organized by Astrionix Management is a professional-level Kabaddi League in Nepal, featuring six franchise teams representing Kathmandu, Pokhara, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Dhangadhi, and Butwal. The inaugural season was held from January 17 to January 31 of 2025.

The All Nepal Kabaddi Association (ANKA) is the governing body for the sport of kabaddi in Nepal. It is responsible for organizing national tournaments, promoting the sport, and managing the national kabaddi teams.

The 2024–25 Prime Minister Cup (Women) was the tenth edition of the Prime Minister Cup Women's National Cricket Tournament, the premier Twenty20 cricket tournament in Nepal. The tournament was contested by teams representing the seven provinces of Nepal as well as two departmental teams. It began on 14 January and end on 25 January 2025. Tribhuwan Army Club made their debut in the tournament. Nine teams were divided into two groups with the top two advancing to the Super Four. All the matches were played at Fapla International Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi.

The 2025 Nepal Women's Tri-Nation Series is a cricket tournament that is taking place in Nepal in January and February 2025. It is a tri-nation series involving Nepal, Netherlands and Thailand cricket teams, with the matches played as Twenty20 International (T20I) fixtures. It is the first women's tri-nation international series hosted by Nepal. All the matches are being played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The tournament is being played in a triple round-robin format. Nepal and Netherlands faced each other for the first time in women's T20Is during the series.
