The 2025 Oceania Badminton Championships is a scheduled continental badminton championships in Oceania sanctioned by the Badminton Oceania, and Badminton World Federation. The mixed team and individual events will be held from 10 to 12 and 13 to 16 February 2025, respectively. [1] [2]

Tournament

The 2025 Oceania Badminton Championships will be the 19th event of the Oceania Championships. [3]

This tournament is organized by the Badminton North Harbour and Badminton Oceania, with sanctioned of the Badminton World Federation. [3]

The tournament will be held at the Harcourts Cooper & Co Badminton North Harbour Centre, Forrest Hill, Auckland, New Zealand. [3]

Setyana Daniella Florensia Mapasa is an Indonesian-born Australian badminton player. Mapasa won a silver medal at the 2013 BWF World Junior Championships mixed team when she represented Indonesia. She officially became an Australian citizen in 2014. She was selected to join the national team compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. She was four times women's doubles Oceania champions from 2017 to 2020 with her partner Gronya Somerville, also two times champion in the mixed doubles event in 2017 and 2018 alongside Sawan Serasinghe.

Mathias Christiansen is a Danish badminton player who joined the national team in July 2013. He was the silver medalists in the 2018 and 2024 European Championships, and also the bronze medalists in the 2016, 2017, and 2021 European Championships, as well at the 2023 European Games. He was part of Danish winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Dylan Alexander Soedjasa is a New Zealand badminton player. In 2013, he won silver medal at the Oceania Junior Badminton Championships in the mixed team event. In the individuals event, he won gold in the boys' doubles and bronze in the singles event. In 2016, he won the gold medal at the Oceania Championships in the men's team event. In 2017, he was the runner-up at the 2017 Nouméa International tournament in the men's singles and mixed doubles event partnered with Susannah Leydon-Davis.

Donna Haliday is a New Zealand badminton player. In 2008, she won the mixed doubles title at the Oceania Championships in New Caledonia with Henry Tam. The XIII 2018 Oceania Badminton Championships was the continental badminton championships in Oceania sanctioned by the Badminton Oceania, and Badminton World Federation. This championship was organized by Badminton New Zealand, and was the 13th edition of the Oceania Badminton Championships. It was held in Hamilton, New Zealand from 6 to 11 February 2018. The team event started on 6 February, and was the qualification stage for the 2018 Thomas & Uber Cup finals in Thailand, while the individual event will start on February 8.

The XIV 2019 Oceania Badminton Championships was the continental badminton championships in Oceania sanctioned by the Badminton Oceania, and Badminton World Federation. This championship was organized by Badminton Victoria, and was the 14th edition of the Oceania Badminton Championships. It was held in Melbourne, Australia from 11 to 14 February 2019. The individual event started on 11 February, while the team event started on 15 February.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021 Sudirman Cup</span> World mixed team badminton championships

The 2021 Sudirman Cup was the 17th edition of the Sudirman Cup, the biennial international badminton championship contested by the mixed national teams of the member associations of Badminton World Federation (BWF), since its inception in 1989. The tournament was played in Vantaa, Finland, between 26 September and 3 October 2021. China were the defending champions. They successfully defended their title, lifting the trophy for a record-extending 12th time.

Kyohei Yamashita is a Japanese badminton player who specializes in doubles. He was the bronze medalist in the mixed doubles at the 2021 BWF World Championships in Huelva. Yamashita graduated from Nippon Sport Science University then joined the NTT East team.

The 2024 Oceania Men's & Women's Team Badminton Championships was a continental badminton team championships in Oceania sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation. The tournament was held from 16 to 18 February 2024.
