The Oceania Badminton Championships is a tournament organized by the Badminton Oceania (BO) and is held once every two years to crown the best badminton players and teams in Oceania. [1]
This championship has been established since 1997, and was first held on the North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand, with individuals event only. The teams event started in 1999. [2]

Setyana Daniella Florensia Mapasa is an Indonesian-born Australian badminton player. Mapasa won a silver medal at the 2013 BWF World Junior Championships mixed team when she represented Indonesia. She officially became an Australian citizen in 2014. She was selected to join the national team compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. She was four times women's doubles Oceania champions from 2017 to 2020 with her partner Gronya Somerville, also two times champion in the mixed doubles event in 2017 and 2018 alongside Sawan Serasinghe.
The Tahiti International is an international badminton tournament held in Tahiti, French Polynesia organised by Tahiti Badminton Federation, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton Oceania. In the last few years, this tournament has been an BWF International Challenge with total prize money US$17.500. In fact, this tournament established since 2009, but not yet sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation.
The XI 2016 Oceania Badminton Championships were held as two events in different counties. From 16 to 21 February, the team event was held in Auckland, New Zealand. From 25 to 28 April, the individual event was held in Papeete, Tahiti.

In 2017, he was the runner-up at the 2017 Nouméa International tournament in the men's singles and mixed doubles event partnered with Susannah Leydon-Davis.

Luke Charlesworth is a New Zealand male badminton player. In 2014, he became the champion at the New Zealand National Badminton Championships. He also won the 2013 New Caledonia International tournament in the men's doubles event and the runner-up in the singles event. At the Oceania Championships, he won the men's singles bronze in 2012 and silver in 2015.

In 2013, she won the women's singles gold medal at the East Asian Games in Tianjin.
Léo Rossi is a French badminton player. He was a part of the French junior team that won the mixed team gold at the 2017 European Junior Championships. He won his first international title at the 2017 Lithuanian International tournament in the men's doubles event partnered with Elias Bracke of Belgium. He also won is first international title at the 2018 Irish International tournament in the men's single event beating top 80 players.
The Waikato International is an open international badminton tournament in New Zealand. This tournament is held in Waikato. This tournament is classified as BWF International Series tournament since Badminton World Federation (BWF) introduced in 1998, but it was downgraded to Future Series in 2015. Then, the event was promoted to a higher level of BWF International Series since 2017. Another tournament with higher level and prize money named New Zealand Open.
Lee Yun-hwa is a South Korean badminton player. Born in Wonju, Gangwon province, Lee started playing badminton at aged nine. She educated at the Bukwon girls' middle school, after that in Yubong girls' high school. Lee joined the national team when she was 15 and trained at the Taeneung national training center. In the junior event, she competed at the Asian Junior Championships, winning a gold medal in the girls' team event in 2001, girls team silver and girls' doubles bronze medal in 2002. She also part of the national junior team that won the silver medal at the 2002 World Junior Championships. She made a debut at the Uber Cup in 2004, and captured the attention by her outstanding performance winning the singles and doubles event in the semi-finals against Denmark. In the Sudirman Cup, she helped the team reaching in to the semi-finals round in 2005 and 2007, clinched the bronze medal for the team. Lee who was affiliated with the Daekyo Noonoppi, helped the Korean team won the world women's team championships at the 2010 Uber Cup.
Huang Shih-chung is a former badminton player from the Republic of China. He was the silver medalist at the 1996 World Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event partnered with Chien Yu-hsun. In the senior international tournament, he firstly took the podium as a men's doubles runner-up at the 1997 Spanish International. At the IBF Grand Prix tournament, he was the semifinalists at the 2002 U.S. Open and 2004 Thailand Open. He also participated at the World Championships in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2005 and in 2006. Huang occupied the men's doubles title at the 2006 Victorian International alongside Chien Yu-hsun. Educated at the National Taiwan Sport University, he won the men's doubles gold at the 1998, 2000, and 2006 World University Championships, also the mixed and men's doubles silver in 1998 and 2002 respectively. He was part of the national men's team that clinched the bronze medal at the 1997 East Asian Games and Asia Cup.
