The Badminton Asia Championships is a tournament organized by governing body Badminton Asia to crown the best badminton players in Asia.
The BWF World Junior Championships is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to crown the best junior badminton players (under-19) in the world. The championships is held annually and consists of two separate competitions: a mixed team championships followed by an individual championships.
The African Badminton Championships is a tournament organized by the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA) to crown the best badminton players in Africa. For the team event there is the African Badminton Cup of Nations. This is not to be confused with the All African Games, the multi sports event, held every four years where badminton is included since 2003.
The U-18 Asian Baseball Championship is an under-18 international baseball tournament sanctioned and created by the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA). The tournament is prior to the 18U Baseball World Cup which is held every other year.
The 2012 Asian Youth Girls' Volleyball Championship was held in Shuangliu County, Chengdu, China. Japan won the tournament and Sarina Koga was selected the Most Valuable Player.
Sarina Koga is a Japanese volleyball player who won the bronze medal at the 2013 U23 World Championship with Japan's U23 national team. She also competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in women's volleyball. Koga retired after the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Yūki Ishikawa is a Japanese professional volleyball player. He currently plays as an outside hitter and team captain of Japan men's national volleyball team. At club-level, he plays for Sir Safety Perugia at the Italian Volleyball League.

The 2002 Asian Junior Badminton Championships were held in Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 14–21 July.
The 2000 Asian Junior Badminton Championships were held in Nishiyama Park Gymnasium, Kyoto, Japan from 21–27 July and organized by the Kyoto Badminton Association. 21 countries competed at this competition, and in the end of the tournament, China clinched all the titles.
The 1998 Asian Junior Badminton Championships is an Asia continental junior championships to crown the best U-19 badminton players across Asia. This tournament were held at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 15-21 June 1998.

Shu Wada is a Japanese badminton player. Born in Saitama, he graduated from the Saitama Sakae High School, and later educated at the Nippon Sport Science University. He was part of the national junior team that won the bronze medal at the 2007 Asian Junior Championships. Wada made a debut in the international senior tournament in 2008 at the Osaka International, and finished as the mixed doubles semifinalist partnered with Misaki Matsutomo. Teamed-up with Tatsuya Watanabe in the men's doubles, they were the runner-up at the 2011 Osaka International Challenge.
The BWF World Senior Championships is a badminton tournament for players aged 35 and older sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). The winners will be crowned as the "World Senior Champions" and awarded gold medals. However, it does not offer any prize money. The tournament started in 2003 and being held biennially.
Kento Miyaura is a Japanese male volleyball player from Kumamoto City, on the island of Kyushu. Currently, he plays in LNV Ligue A Masculine for Paris Volley. He used to be the captain of Japan U-19 team and Waseda University's club.
Masaki Oya is a Japanese male volleyball player. He plays for Japan men's national volleyball team and the Suntory Sunbirds in V.League 1, where he has served as captain since 2020–21 season. He was formerly the Japan U-23 national team's captain.
Tsubasa Hisahara is a male Japanese former Volleyball player who played for Panasonic Panthers in V.League Division 1. He used to be the captain of Japanese youth national team and was a part of Japan men's national volleyball team.

Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. The results were part of the Japanese selection criteria for the 2024 Four Continents Championships and the 2024 World Championships.
