The African Para-Badminton Championships is a tournament organized by the Para Badminton World Federation (PBWF) which has now merged with the BWF. This tournament is hosted to crown the best para-badminton players in Africa.

2018 Kampala

The first edition of the championships was hosted in Kampala, Uganda. [1] Nigeria became the best country in this edition of the championships, having won a total of 7 gold medals and 5 silver medals in the championships. [2]

2022 Kampala

Kampala would host the games for a second time in 2022 after the 2020 edition was cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. [3] [4] The Egyptian team won 8 golds, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes in this edition. [5]

    Godwin Richard Olofua is a Nigerian badminton player who participated at local and international badminton competitions representing Nigeria and has won several trophies. Olofua won gold medal in the mixed team event with silver and bronze medals in singles and doubles events at the 2019 African Championships in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He also won gold during the 2019 African Games in the mixed team, a silver in the men's doubles and a bronze in the men's singles. Olofua won the men's doubles title at the 2018 Côte d'Ivoire, 2019 Benin and Cameroon International tournaments partnered with Anuoluwapo Juwon Opeyori. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

    Abu Hubaida is an Indian professional para-badminton player. He made his international debut in 2016.     The Papua New Guinea national badminton team represents Papua New Guinea in international badminton team competitions. It is organized by Badminton Papua New Guinea, the governing body for badminton in Papua New Guinea. Badminton is not a popular sport in Papua New Guinea, The national team have rarely participated in international team events.

    Tay Wei Ming is a Singaporean para-badminton player. He was Singapore's first ever Para-Badminton world champion. He won the BWF Para-Badminton World Championships in 2017, when he partnered Indonesia's Suryo Nugroho to defeat the World No.1 Malaysian pair of Cheah Liek Hou and Hairol Fozi Saaba to claim gold in the men’s doubles SU5.
