The BWF World Junior Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation, introduced since January 2011. Players must be under 19 years of age to be eligible in the World Junior Rankings. Players will be removed from the World Junior Ranking once they have reached 19 years of age on 1 January. In doubles, players will be ranked as individuals and not as pairs. [1]
Badminton Asia Confederation may select up to two tournaments to upgrade to European Junior Championships level and up to three tournaments to the upgraded Asian and European Tournaments level as stated in World Junior ranking table below. Badminton Europe can select up to three tournaments to upgrade to the upgraded Asian and European International Tournaments level. Points are awarded according to the following table:

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations. In 1981 the IBF merged with the World Badminton Federation, and on 24 September 2006, at the Extraordinary General Meeting in Madrid, the name of the organization was changed to Badminton World Federation (BWF).
Theratil Rajiv Ouseph is a former international badminton player from England who has represented both England and Great Britain. A long-time English and British No.1, Ouseph's most significant international tournament achievement was becoming the European Men's Singles Champion, winning the title in 2017.
Carolina María Marín Martín is a Spanish badminton player. She is an Olympic Champion, three-time World Champion, and eight-time European Champion. She once held the No. 1 BWF World Ranking in women's singles for a total of 66 weeks. She has won the World Championships in 2014, 2015, and 2018, becoming the second women's singles player after Han Aiping to win the title three times. Marín is the only player in history to win at least seven gold medals in a single discipline of any continental championship, having won every European Championships title since 2014, and a European Games title in 2023. She also won the Olympic gold medal in women's singles at the 2016 Rio Olympics, thereby becoming the only non-Asian female player to win a badminton gold medal at the Olympics.
Viktor Axelsen is a Danish badminton player. He is a two-time Olympic Champion, two-time World Champion, and four-time European Champion. He has held the No. 1 BWF World Ranking in men's singles for a total of 183 weeks, and he is the current world No. 2. Known for his powerful smashes and solid defence, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest badminton players of all time.
Li Xuerui is a retired Chinese professional badminton player. She is one of the most successful players of her time. She was a gold medalist at 2012 London Olympics in the women's singles event and was the silver medalists in the 2013 and 2014 World Championships. Li Xuerui won fourteen Superseries titles, confirming her status as China's second most successful player after Wang Yihan. She reached a career high of no. 1 in the women's singles for 124 weeks. Li graduated with a BA from Huaqiao University.
The BWF World Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation for badminton players who participate in tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation. It is used to determine the qualification for the World Championships and Summer Olympic Games, as well as BWF World Tour tournaments. Seedings of draws at all BWF-sanctioned tournaments are conducted using the BWF World Ranking. Sapsiree Taerattanachai is a Thai badminton player. She claimed titles in the mixed doubles with Dechapol Puavaranukroh at the 2017 SEA Games and at the 2021 World Championships. Sapsiree and Dechapol made history as the first ever Thai pair to win the year-end Finals tournaments, the World Championships title and rank first in the world ranking.
Sameer Verma is an Indian badminton player. He trains at the Gopichand Badminton Academy, Hyderabad. Sameer is the brother of Indian badminton player Sourabh Verma.
Kento Momota is a former Japanese badminton player. He has won several major badminton tournaments including two World Championships titles, two Asian Championships titles, and one All England title. Momota has received a Guinness World Records certificate for "The most badminton men's singles titles in a season", for his achievements by winning 11 titles in the 2019 season. He is considered to be one of the greats of badminton.
Kim Astrup Sørensen is a Danish badminton player. He was the men's doubles gold medalists at the 2018 European Championships and the 2023 European Games with his partner Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. He also won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 2021 and later a silver medal in 2023. Astrup joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China, where he and his teammates beating Indonesia 3–2 in the final. Together with Rasmussen, he reached a career high of World number 5 in September 2018.
Dechapol Puavaranukroh is a Thai badminton player. He was a gold medalist at the 2014 BWF World Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event with his partner Kittinupong Kedren. Dechapol claimed doubles titles at the 2017 SEA Games by winning the gold medal in the men's doubles with Kedren and in the mixed doubles with Sapsiree Taerattanachai. Together with Sapsiree, he won the silver and gold medals at the BWF World Championships in 2019 and 2021 respectively, became the first Thai pair who won the world title. The duo made a clean sweep of all three 2020 Asian leg titles in Thailand and all 2021 Bali leg titles, thus climbing to world number 1 in the BWF ranking. Dechapol and Sapsiree made history as the first ever Thai players to win a title in the year-end Finals tournaments and rank first in the world ranking.
Thom Mark Gicquel is a French badminton player. Competing in the mixed doubles, he was able to reach the top 10 of the BWF world rankings with his partner Delphine Delrue. Together with Delrue, he won the gold medal in the 2024 European Championships; silver in the 2022 European Championships, and 2023 European Games; and also bronze in the 2019 European Games.
Yuta Watanabe is a Japanese badminton player. He is a member of the Nihon Unisys team, and national team A representative. Known for his quick and explosive movements with signature drop shots on court, Watanabe, together with Arisa Higashino, had won 2 consecutive bronze medals in the mixed doubles event at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics, as well as being four-time BWF World Championships medalists.
Yeo Jia Min is a Singaporean badminton player. She is a former World Junior No.1 and the first Singaporean in either the junior or senior categories to made it to the top of the BWF's ranking system.

The 2020 BWF World Tour was the third season of the BWF World Tour of badminton, a circuit of 26 tournaments which led up to the World Tour Finals tournament. The 27 tournaments are divided into five levels: Level 1 was the said World Tour Finals, Level 2 called Super 1000, Level 3 called Super 750, Level 4 called Super 500 and Level 5 called Super 300. Each of these tournaments offers different ranking points and prize money. The highest points and prize pool were offered at the Super 1000 level.
