European Senior Badminton Championships

The European Senior Badminton Championships is a tournament organized by the Badminton Europe (BE) since 1995 and is held once every two years to crown the best Veteran badminton players in Europe. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo is an Indonesian badminton player. He joined the PB Djarum in 2015, and previously played for the Surya Baja Surabaya in East Java. He won his first senior international title at the 2012 Malaysia International tournament, and in 2013, he won the men's singles bronze at the Southeast Asian Games. In 2017, he emerged as the men's singles champion at the National Championships in Pangkal Pinang.

Eefje Muskens, is a Dutch former badminton player who specializes in doubles. Her last partner for women's doubles was Selena Piek. She won the 2014, 2015 and 2016 editions of Dutch National Badminton Championships with Piek. Prior to that she already won her first National title in 2013 with Samantha Barning. She won a silver medal at the 2016 European Badminton Championships and a bronze medal at the 2014 European Badminton Championships with Piek. In 2016, she and Piek competed at the Rio Summer Olympics and reached the quarter-finals round. She also reached a semi-final at the 2016 Indonesia Open and won the 2014 edition of the Dutch Open and both the 2013 editions of the Scottish Open and the Bitburger Open BWF Grand Prix events.

Thom Mark Gicquel is a French badminton player. Competing in the mixed doubles, he was able to reach the top 10 of the BWF world rankings with his partner Delphine Delrue. Together with Delrue, he won the gold medal in the 2024 European Championships; silver in the 2022 European Championships, and 2023 European Games; and also bronze in the 2019 European Games.

Mark Lamsfuß is a German badminton player and plays for the BC Wipperfeld. He and his partner, Isabel Lohau won a bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 2022 BWF World Championships.

The Poland national badminton team represents Poland in international badminton team competitions. It is managed by the Polish Badminton Association in the capital city of Warsaw. Poland competed in the Sudirman Cup from 1989 to 2011. The men's team only competed the Thomas Cup once in 2010 and the women's team have never qualified for the Uber Cup.

The BWF World Senior Championships is a badminton tournament for players aged 35 and older sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). The winners will be crowned as the "World Senior Champions" and awarded gold medals. However, it does not offer any prize money. The tournament started in 2003 and being held biennially.

In 1994, he represented India at the 1st International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics World Championships in Berlin, Germany. He was awarded India's fourth highest civilian award the Padma Shri in 2021.

Thomas Wandschneider is a German Para-badminton player. He is a four time Para badminton world champion. He considered retiring, but changed his mind due to Badminton being at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.

Cynthia Mathez is a Swiss para-badminton player and curler who competes in the WH1 category. Mathez is part of the Swiss national para-badminton team and won gold at the European Para Badminton Championships with her doubles partner Karin Suter-Erath in Rodez in 2018. She competed in the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo.
