2023 Japan Masters |
The Japan Masters is an annual badminton tournament held in Japan. It became part of the BWF World Tour tournaments in 2023. BWF categorised Japan Masters as one of the nine BWF World Tour Super 500 events in the BWF events structure since 2023. [1] [2] On 18 April 2022, the city of Kumamoto was confirmed to be the host of this tournament for the 2023–2026 BWF World Tour cycle. [3]

The Japan Open is an annual badminton tournament held in Japan. It became part of the BWF Super Series tournaments in 2007. BWF categorised Japan Open as one of the five BWF World Tour Super 750 events in the BWF events structure since 2018.

Leonardus Jonatan Christie is an Indonesian badminton player specializing in the singles discipline affiliated with the Tangkas Specs club. He is the reigning All England Open men's singles champion, having won the 2024 edition of the tournament. He won the men's singles title at the 2017 SEA Games and at the 2018 Asian Games. Christie was part of Indonesia's winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Gregoria Mariska Tunjung Cahyaningsih is an Indonesian badminton player in women's singles. She started her career at the badminton club PB Mutiara Cardinal in Bandung, West Java, and was called to the national team in 2013. She was the girls' singles champion at the 2017 World Junior Championships. Tunjung also captained the Indonesia women's team at the 2022 Asia Team Championships, where they became champions.
Jia Yifan is a Chinese badminton player. She won gold medals at the 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023 World Championships, 2018 and 2022 Asian Games, and at the 2019 Asian Championships.
Shi Yuqi is a Chinese badminton player. Shi won his first Superseries title in the 2016 French Open. At the 2017 All England Open, he defeated 6-time champion Lin Dan to reach the final, and repeated the same feat again at the 2018 All England Open, where he outclassed Lin Dan in the tournament final. Shiho Tanaka is a Japanese retired badminton player who affiliates with Hokuto Bank team. She was the bronze medalists at the 2018 World Championships in the women's doubles, and at the 2015 Summer Universiade in the women's singles. She won the year-end tournament Superseries Finals in 2017. Tanaka was part of Japanese winning team at the 2017 Asia Mixed Team Championships, 2018 Uber Cup, and at the 2018 Asia Women's Team Championships.
Jordan Tang Chun Man is a Hong Kong badminton player. He started playing badminton at the age of seven, and joined the national team when he was 18. He won his first title in the 2016 Chinese Taipei Masters partnering with Tse Ying Suet.
