North Harbour International

The North Harbour International (also known as North Shore City International) is an open international badminton tournament in New Zealand. This was the first international tournament hosted on the North Shore of Auckland. [1] This tournament organized by Badminton North Harbour with sanctioned by Badminton Oceania and Badminton World Federation. [2] [3]

The U.S. Open Badminton Championships is an annual badminton tournament first held in 1954 when the American Badminton Association opened the U.S. National Badminton Championships to foreign competition. During the 1950s and 1960s it often attracted the world's top players. The 2015 Yonex Suffolk County Community College US Open Championships, held in Brentwood, NY, attracted Malaysia's superstar Lee Chong Wei as well as 9 others in the top 30 MS competitors. The BWF World Junior Championships, also known as the World Junior Badminton Championships, is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation to crown the best junior badminton players (U-19) in the world. The championship is held annually and consists of two separate competitions: a mixed team championship followed by an individual championship.

The Japan Open is an annual badminton tournament held in Japan. It became part of the BWF Super Series tournaments in 2007. BWF categorised Japan Open as one of the five BWF World Tour Super 750 events in the BWF events structure since 2018.

The 2007 BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix was the inaugural season of BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix under the new tournament structure introduced by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It was held from February 28 and ended on December 12, 2007. 12 events were planned, but India Open Grand Prix Gold was cancelled following the bomb blast in the city. The organizers decided to postpone the tournament to indefinite date. However, the President of Badminton Association of India said the tournament is likely to take place from January 7 to January 13, 2008. But BWF later confirmed the event was cancelled. Had the tournament been held, it would have been held in Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad from 4–9 September 2007.

The Austrian International or Austrian Open in badminton is an international open held in Austria since 1965. In the initial years they took place later annually every two years, but since 1973 it has been held annually.

The Italian International in badminton is an international open held in Italy since 1994. It was halted between 1996 and 1998, and in 2000. The tournament belongs to the EBU Circuit.

The Slovak Open in badminton is an international open held in Slovakia since 1993. The tournament followed the Czechoslovakian Open, and it belongs to the European Badminton Circuit.

The Croatian International in badminton is an international open held in Croatia since 1999. The tournament belongs to the EBU Circuit. Croatian National Badminton Championships were established already in 1992. In 2022, the second international tournament in Croatia launched as Croatia Open.

Jan Østergaard Jørgensen is a Danish retired badminton player who played for SIF (Skovshoved) in the national league. He won the men's singles title at the 2014 European Championships, and was the bronze medalist at the 2015 World Championships. He joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China.

The Indonesia International is an international badminton tournament, which is held annually in Indonesia since 1997. It is organized by the Badminton Association of Indonesia. Since 2007, it is graded as the International Challenge, which are level 4 badminton tournaments. Since 2014, there are two different level 4 tournament: International Challenge and International Series which held in two different cities. Since 2022, there were two International Challenge tournament.

Chou Tien-chen is a Taiwanese badminton player. He became the first local shuttler in 17 years to win the men's singles title of the Chinese Taipei Open in 2016 since Indonesian-born Fung Permadi won it in 1999. He won his first BWF Super Series title at the 2014 French Open, beating Wang Zhengming of China 10–21, 25–23, 21–19 in the finals. He is the record holder of three consecutive Hylo Open titles from 2012 till 2014.

Beiwen Zhang is a badminton player who is a singles specialist. Born in China, she previously represented Singapore and currently represents the United States. She won the women's singles title at the 2021 Pan Am Championships and at the 2023 Pan American Games.

The Vietnam International Challenge, formerly Vietnam Satellite and Hanoi International, is an international badminton tournament held in Vietnam. This tournament has been an International Challenge level since 2008. Another tournament named Vietnam International Series established in 2014, and Vietnam Open established in 1996.

The Bonn International is an international badminton tournament held in Bonn, Germany. The event is part of the Badminton World Federation's Future Series and part of the Badminton Europe Elite Circuit. It was held for the first time in 2019.

The Bendigo International is an international badminton tournament to be held for the first time in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, in September 2020. The event is part of the Badminton World Federation's International Series and part of the Badminton Oceania circuit.

The Bangladesh International is an international badminton tournament held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and organized by the Bangladesh Badminton Federation. The tournament was established in June 2002 and was part of the Asian Satellite. In 2011, the tournament was graded as the BWF International Series with the total prize money equaling US$5,000, and later in 2013, it was upgraded to the International Challenge, providing a total prize money of US$15,000. In 2019, the tournament will be dedicated to Bangladesh's "Father of the Nation," Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
