The Hungarian National Badminton Championships is a tournament organized to crown the best badminton players in Hungary.
The tournament started in 1960 and is held every year.
Badminton at the 1996 Summer Olympics included the four events as well as a new event: mixed doubles. An additional change to the tournament was the playoff game for the bronze medal rather than the awarding of two bronzes. The tournament was single-elimination. Matches consisted of three sets, with sets being to 15 except. The tournament was held at the Georgia State University gymnasium.

The badminton tournaments at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place between 24 July and 2 August 2021. A total of 172 athletes competed in five events: men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

Jacco Arends is a Dutch retired badminton player who specializes in doubles. Arends began playing badminton at his hometown club BC Duinwijck, and in 2009, he won European Junior Championships in mixed doubles with Selena Piek. He was the bronze medalist at the 2016 European Championships, and at the same year, he competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Kalle Koljonen is a Finnish badminton player. In 2014, he won a bronze medal at the European Men's Team Championships in Basel. He won his first international title at the 2015 Hungarian International. Koljonen became first ever badminton player from his country to medal at the European Championships in 2021.
Jessica Rose Pugh is an English badminton player. She joined the national junior team in 2008, and selected to the senior team in 2015. She had won the mixed doubles bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in Poland, also helped the team winning the silver medal. She won her first senior international tournament when she was 16 years old in Hungarian International. Pugh was part of the English team that won the mixed team bronze at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. Pugh announced her retirement from international competition on 4 April 2023.
Gergely Krausz is a Hungarian badminton player affiliated with Multi Alarm SE. He competed at the 2015 and 2019 European Games. Krausz is the first ever Hungarian men's singles player to participate at the Olympics by competing at the 2020 Tokyo Games. He retired from the international badminton on 17 October 2021.

Viki Indra Okvana is an Indonesian badminton player from Suryanaga Mutiara Timur club. He also played for the Deltacar Benátky nad Jizerou club in Czech Republic. He was the bronze medallists at the 2005 Asian Junior Championships in the boys' doubles and team event. Okvana was selected to join the Indonesia national team in 2006. He won the mixed doubles title at the 2007 Dutch Junior International tournament partnered with Richi Puspita Dili. Okvana who educated at the STIE Perbanas Jakarta competed at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, winning a bronze medal in the mixed team event. Partnered with Gustiani Megawati, they won the mixed doubles title at the Czech, Turkey, Bahrain and Hungarian International tournaments. He also won the men's doubles title at the Austrian International with Ardiansyah Putra, and Hungarian International with Albert Saputra.
The Hungary national badminton team represents Hungary in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by the Hungarian Badminton Association. The Hungarian team have only participated in the Sudirman Cup three times.
The Belgium national badminton team represents Belgium in international badminton team competitions and is controlled by the Royal Belgian Badminton Federation. The Belgium national team have never qualified for the Thomas Cup and the Uber Cup. The last time Belgium competed in the Sudirman Cup was in 2007.
Christo Popov is a French badminton player who affiliate with Fos club. He was the boys' doubles European U15 and U17 Junior Champions, also won the boys' singles silver medals at the 2018 European and 2019 World Junior Championships. He reached a career high as boys' singles World Junior number 1 in January 2020. He then clinched the boys' singles title at the 2020 European Junior Championships. In 2024, he became the first Frenchman to reach the semi-finals of the All England Open.
Peter Zauner is a retired Austrian badminton player from ASKÖ Traun club who won National Championships for 13 times.
Harald Koch is a retired Austrian badminton player from Askö Traun badminton club. He is the brother of former Olympian badminton player Jürgen Koch.
