The China Masters, formerly known as Fuzhou China Open, is an annual badminton tournament held in China. It became part of the BWF Super Series tournaments in 2007. In 2014 the level of the tournament was downgraded to BWF Grand Prix Gold because, although China bid in the autumn of 2012 to continue to host 2 BWF Super Series tournaments, [1] the Changzhou bid was unsuccessful and the China Masters was replaced for the 2014–2017 Superseries cycle by the Australian Open. [2] In 2018, the tournament became a part of World Tour Grade 2 Level 3 tournament (BWF World Tour Super 750) and renamed Fuzhou China Open. [3] [4] From 2023 onwards, this tournament will be held in Shenzhen, and its name will be changed back to its former name, China Masters. [5]

Lim Khim Wah is a Malaysian badminton player from Penang who plays in the doubles category. His men's doubles partner was Goh V Shem until late 2014. They two won their first Superseries title at the 2014 Malaysia Open. Together with Goh, Lim reached a career high as world number 11 in the men's doubles in May 2013. In 2015, Lim resigned from the Badminton Association of Malaysia. In 2022, Lim teamed up with Nur Mohd Azyriyn Ayub, they started their career in three back-to-back tournaments in India, with the India Open as the first tournament.
Tse Ying Suet is a Hong Kong badminton player. She competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's doubles event. In 2012, she won the women's doubles title at the Japan Open tournament with Poon Lok Yan by beating four Japanese pairs consecutively.

He was the men's doubles World Champion in 2017 partnered with Zhang Nan, also the mixed doubles World and Asian Junior Champion in 2010 with Bao Yixin. Liu was part of the national team member that won the team events at the 2015, 2021 Sudirman Cup, 2018 Thomas Cup and 2018 Asian Games. He reached a career high of world number 2 in both men's and mixed doubles events. He announced his retirement from the international tournament on 30 June 2022.

She announced her retirement through her personal social media Weibo on 13 October 2019, where before, she had given a resignation letter to the coach on 30 September 2019.
He Bingjiao is a Chinese badminton player. She began to receive intensive badminton training at the Suzhou Junior Sports School, when she was 7 years old. Five years later, she was sent to study in Nanjing and for tougher training there. The junior already competed in the senior level, and made her senior international debut at the 2013 Vietnam Open. In 2014, she competed at the Summer Youth Olympics, winning a gold medal in the girls' singles and a bronze in the mixed doubles event. She also won bronze medals at the World Championships in 2018 and 2021.
Li Junhui is a Chinese badminton player. He was the gold medalist at the 2018 World Championships in the men's doubles event partnered with Liu Yuchen, two times won the gold medal at the Asian Championships in 2017 and 2018, and was a silver medalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Li was part of the national team that won the 2018 Asian Games, 2018 Thomas Cup, and 2019 Sudirman Cup.
Shiho Tanaka is a Japanese retired badminton player who affiliates with Hokuto Bank team. She was the bronze medalists at the 2018 World Championships in the women's doubles, and at the 2015 Summer Universiade in the women's singles. She won the year-end tournament Superseries Finals in 2017. Tanaka was part of Japanese winning team at the 2017 Asia Mixed Team Championships, 2018 Uber Cup, and at the 2018 Asia Women's Team Championships.
Jordan Tang Chun Man is a Hong Kong badminton player. He started playing badminton at the age of seven, and joined the national team when he was 18. He won his first title in the 2016 Chinese Taipei Masters partnering with Tse Ying Suet.

Gao Fangjie is a Chinese badminton player from Nanjing, Jiangsu. She was part of the Chinese junior team to win the gold medals at the 2015, and 2016 World Junior; and also at the 2016 Asia Junior Championships. In 2016 Asia, she won the bronze medal in the girls' singles event. Gao was the runner-up in the senior tournament at the 2016 China International. In 2017, she reached the final round at the BWF Superseries Premier tournament at the China Open after competing from the qualification round, and beat the seeded players Nozomi Okuhara, P. V. Sindhu and Carolina Marín. In 2023, she helped the national team win the Asia Mixed Team Championships.
The BWF World Tour is a Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles and doubles. The competition was announced on 19 March 2017 and came into effect starting from 2018, replacing the BWF Super Series, which was held from 2007 to 2017.
The 2021 BWF World Tour was the fourth season of the BWF World Tour of badminton, a circuit of 23 tournaments which led up to the World Tour Finals tournament. The 23 tournaments were divided into five levels: Level 1 is the said World Tour Finals, Level 2 called Super 1000, Level 3 called Super 750, Level 4 called Super 500 and Level 5 called Super 300. Each of these tournaments offered different ranking points and prize money. The highest points and prize pool were offered at the Super 1000 level.
