Greek National Badminton Championships

The Greek National Badminton Championships is a tournament organized to crown the best badminton players in Greece. They are held since 1990.

The tournament was held in Thessaloniki, and draws more than 120 players from 22 countries. In 2006, the tournament was known as Hellas International, and in season 2007/2008 it was introduced again in the European circuit as an BWF International Series with the total pursue $5,000.

Its emblem is an olive wreath, and its colors are orange and black. Mygdonia A.C. has achieved success at both the national and international levels. Many of the club's athletes have received national commendations in various age categories. Some have won the Greek Championship while others have been requested by the national badminton team of Greece.

Vimala Hériau is a French badminton player who affiliate with Racing Club de France. She was part of the national team that won the gold medal at the 2017 European Junior Championships. She won her first senior international title by winning the women's and mixed doubles event at the 2019 Hellas Open. Hériau was the women's doubles National Champions in 2018 and 2020.

Kisona Selvaduray is a Malaysian badminton player. She was the bronze medalist at the 2013 Asian Youth Games in the women's singles category. She won her first senior international title at the Indonesia International Series tournament in the women's singles event. She also won gold medal twice in the Malaysia International Series tournament in 2017 and 2018. On top of that, she dominated the women's singles in 2019 SEA Games.

Being part of the Balkan region, the Albania team competes in the Balkan Badminton Championships.
