Arjun Madathil Ramachandran (born 11 May 1997) is an Indian badminton player. [1] [2] He alongside India men's team won the 2022 Thomas Cup, [3] and also bronze medal at the 2020 Asia Team Championships. [4]

Career

Arjun began to playing badminton at the age of nine at FACT club in 2008, and moved to the badminton academy at the Regional Sports Centre in Kadavanthra three years later. He was introduced to playing doubles by his coach M. Mohanachandran, and within a year, he completely shifted his focus to doubles. He featured in Kerala team since 2012. [5]

BWF World Tour (1 runner-up)

The BWF World Tour, which was announced on 19 March 2017 and implemented in 2018, [6] is a series of elite badminton tournaments sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The BWF World Tour is divided into levels of World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300, and the BWF Tour Super 100. [7]

Thom Mark Gicquel is a French badminton player. Born in Tours, he started playing badminton at aged six in his parents club. Gicquel made his debut in the international senior tournament at the 2015 Riga International in Latvia, finished as the men's doubles runner-up partnered with Thomas Baures. He was part of the national junior team that won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships, and made it to the gold medal in 2017. He also won the gold medal in the boys' doubles event with Toma Junior Popov. At the 2018 European Men's Team Championships, he helped the team claim the bronze medal. Teamed-up with Bastian Kersaudy, they clinched the men's doubles gold at the 2018 Mediterranean Games. He captured a bronze medal at the 2019 European Games in the mixed doubles event with Delphine Delrue. Gicquel and Delrue reached a career high as world number 10 in the BWF World ranking in 9 March 2021. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Frederik Søgaard Mortensen is a Danish badminton player. He was the silver medalist in the boys' doubles at the 2015 World Junior Championships and in the mixed doubles at the 2015 European Junior Championships and also won bronzes in the boys' doubles and the team events at the European Junior Championships. Søgaard was part of the Denmark winning team at the 2019, 2021, 2023 European Mixed Team and the 2020 European Men's Team Championships.

Kim Won-ho is a South Korean badminton player. He was also a bronze medalist at the 2017 World Junior Championships in the boys' doubles and team event. Kim is the son of the Olympic gold medalist Gil Young-ah. He was the youngest player from the Korean national team who competed at the 2017 Sudirman Cup. He played one match, in the opening tie with Russia in the round robin stage. In the final round, Korea won the title after beating China by the score of 3–2. He represented Korea in the 2018 Thomas Cup but lost the match against Indonesia and therefore eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Kunlavut Vitidsarn is a Thai badminton player. He is the current men's singles World Champion as he won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships. He was also three-times World Junior champion, winning in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Vitidsarn became the first men's singles player to win three World Junior Championships titles, joining Ratchanok Intanon and Chen Qingchen as a three-time winner of the World Junior title in the same discipline. He claimed the gold medal at the Asian Junior Championships in 2019, where he previously won a silver in 2018 and bronze in 2017. Vitidsarn participated at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, and was part of the team Omega took the silver medal in the mixed team event. He was named the 2020/2021 Eddy Choong Most Promising Player. Guo Xinwa is a Chinese badminton player. Guo won 2018 Asian Junior Championships in the mixed doubles with partner Liu Xuanxuan. In his early career, he joined the Jinzhou Sports School badminton team for training at the age of 8, and afterwards joined the Shandong team at the age of 13. When he turned 17, he represented the Shandong team in the National Games and won 2–1 against Beijing team. His upset victory over Lin Dan made him famous in the first battle.

Ties van der Lecq is a Dutch badminton player. He won the men's doubles title at the 2020 Dutch National Championships, and was part of Dutch team that won a silver medal at the 2020 European Men's Team Championships and also a bronze medal at the 2019 European Mixed Team Championships.

Krishna Prasad Garaga is an Indian badminton player. He was the gold medalist at the 2019 South Asian Games in the men's doubles and team events. He was part of the India team that won the 2022 Thomas Cup.
