Alexander Dunn (born 13 September 1998) is a Scottish badminton player. Born in Bellshill, Dunn started playing badminton at aged seven, and joined the national team in 2009. [1] [2] He won a bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event with his partner Adam Hall, also the silver medal in the mixed doubles event with Eleanor O'Donnell in 2017. [3] [4] He competed at the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. [5] [6] [7]

Personal life

Dunn educated sport and physical activity at the University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow. [5] At the age of 13, he was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus type 1. [7]

BWF World Tour (1 runner-up)

The BWF World Tour, which was announced on 19 March 2017 and implemented in 2018, [8] is a series of elite badminton tournaments sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The BWF World Tours are divided into levels of World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300, and the BWF Tour Super 100. [9]

Christopher Thomas Adcock is a retired English badminton player. Adcock is currently sponsored by Yonex and YC Sports and plays for the University of Nottingham-based NBL team. He entered the National team in 2006, and later won the boys' doubles and mixed team titles at the 2007 European Junior Championships. He was a World Championships medalists winning a silver in 2011 with Imogen Bankier and a bronze in 2017 with Gabby Adcock. Together with Gabby, he also won a silver medal at the 2007 World Junior Championships, and then claimed the gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and 2018; and at the European Championships in 2017 and 2018.

Pranaav Jerry Chopra is an Indian badminton player. He joined the India national badminton team in 2007. In the year 2018, at the Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Queensland, he won the gold medal in mixed team as being a member of the Indian mixed team. He is only the second player from India to reach Top 15 in the World Rankings in Mixed Doubles with his partner.

Kim Astrup Sørensen is a Danish badminton player. He was the men's doubles gold medalists at the 2018 European Championships and the 2023 European Games with his partner Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. He also won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 2021 and later a silver medal in 2023. Astrup joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China, where he and his teammates beating Indonesia 3–2 in the final. Together with Rasmussen, he reached a career high of World number 5 in September 2018.

Anders Skaarup Rasmussen is a Danish badminton player. Rasmussen won the men's doubles title at the 2018 European Championships and at the 2023 European Games partnered with Kim Astrup. He also won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 2021 and later a silver medal in 2023. Together with Astrup, he reached a career high of World number 5 in the men's doubles in September 2018.

Hee together with Jessica Tan also won the gold medal in the mixed doubles event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, a first for Singapore in that discipline at the Games. Terry Hee and his wife Jessica Tan were nominated for the Straits Times Singaporean of the Year Award 2022. Terry Hee and Jessica Tan are Singapore's first local-born mixed doubles duo to qualify for the Olympics, and will make their debut at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Mark Lamsfuß is a German badminton player and plays for the BC Wipperfeld. He and his partner, Isabel Lohau won a bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 2022 BWF World Championships.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Seo Seung-jae</span> South Korean badminton player (born 1997)

Seo Seung-jae is a South Korean badminton player. He is the first South Korean player in 24 years to have won two gold medals in a single edition of the BWF World Championships, by winning the mixed and men's doubles event at the 2023 BWF World Championships, partnering with Chae Yoo-jung and Kang Min-hyuk respectively. He competed at the 2017 Sudirman Cup and helped the Korean national team to its fourth trophy.

Julie Claire MacPherson is a Scottish badminton player who competes in international level events both for Scotland and Great Britain. She affiliates with club SV Fun-Ball Dortelweil She has won the Scottish National Championships seven times in the women's doubles and five times in the mixed doubles. She also part of team Scotland that won the bronze medal at the 2020 European Women's Team Championships.
