Ng retired from the international badminton in 2010, and now works as a badminton coach.

Pullela Gopichand is a former Indian badminton player. Currently, he is the Chief National Coach for the India national badminton team. He won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001 becoming the second Indian to achieve this feat after Prakash Padukone. He runs the Gopichand Badminton Academy. He received the Arjuna Award in 1999, the Dronacharya Award in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan – India's third highest civilian award – in 2014.

Saina Nehwal Indian badminton player

Saina Nehwal is an Indian professional badminton player and politician belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party. A former world no. 1, she has won 24 international titles, which includes ten Superseries titles. Although she reached the world's 2nd in 2009, it was only in 2015 that she was able to attain the world no. 1 ranking, thereby becoming the only female player from India and overall the second Indian player – after Prakash Padukone – to achieve this feat. She has represented India three times in the Olympics, winning a bronze medal in her second appearance at the London 2012.

Badminton Asia

The Badminton Asia is the governing body of badminton in Asia. It is one of the 5 continental bodies under the flag of the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The confederation was established in 1959, headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. It aims to maintain Asia as the benchmark for world badminton in many years to come. It now has 43 member federations. It had decided in the Annual General Meeting on July 16, 2006 that the confederation name was changed from Asian Badminton Confederation (ABC) to Badminton Asia Confederation (BAC).

The Badminton Asia Championships is a tournament organized by governing body Badminton Asia to crown the best badminton players in Asia.

P. V. Sindhu Indian badminton player

Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is an Indian badminton player. Considered one of India's most successful sportspersons, Sindhu has won medals at various tournaments including the Olympics and on the BWF circuit, including a gold at the 2019 World Championships. She is the first and only Indian to become the Badminton World Champion and only the second individual athlete from India to win two consecutive medals at the Olympic Games. She rose to a career-high world ranking of no. 2 in April 2017.

Zhao joins the ranks with nine other players with two Olympic gold medals, the highest number of gold medals won by any badminton player. Akane Yamaguchi is a Japanese badminton player who is the reigning World Champion, winning gold in the women's singles at the 2021 BWF World Championships. She was on the winning Japanese team at the Asian Junior Championships in 2012 and won various women's singles titles afterward. She then won the World Junior Championships in 2013 and 2014, the Asian Junior Championships in 2014, and the Asian Championships in 2019. Soniia Cheah Su Ya is a Malaysian badminton player. She is the younger sister of Lydia Cheah Li Ya who is also a professional badminton player. The 1994 Asian Badminton Championships was the 13th edition of the Badminton Asia Championships. It was held in Shanghai Gymnasium, Shanghai, China, from April 6 to April 10. Except the Men's singles discipline which was won by Malaysia; China won all the titles.
