Three members of the House of Representatives declared their candidacy:

In his public application letter, he expressed his desire to contribute to a "House that is strong in content, operates with dignity and in which the debate, however sharp, is conducted courteously and with respect." Van Campen, who was elected to the House of Representatives in 2021 Dutch general election, had served as Second Deputy Speaker since 15 May 2025. [3]
On 15 November 2025, 61 year old Martin Bosma, the incumbent Speaker and a member of the Party for Freedom (PVV) group, announced his candidacy for the speakership. Van der Lee, who has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2017, had served as First Deputy Speaker since 2023. [5]
