Transfers and signings

In February 2025, Welsh Fire announced the signing of Australian player, Steve Smith on a £200,000 deal for the men's side. ^[3]

Matches

The Welsh Fire men's and women's teams began their 2025 campaign with away fixtures against Northern Superchargers on 7 August. ^[2]

On 9 August 2025, the men's side lost to London Spirit by 8 runs despite Jonny Bairstow scoring 86 from 50 balls. ^[4]

The women's side suffered a 47-run defeat to Northern Superchargers on 8 August, with Hayley Matthews taking 2 for 18. ^[5]
