20 Years in History is the fourth compilation by German heavy metal band Running Wild. It is a chronological account of the band with two tracks from every album up to and including The Brotherhood. The song "Prowling Werewolf" was formerly available on the Heavy Metal Like a Hammerblow demo. "Apocalyptic Horsemen" was previously unreleased.

Live on the Black Hand Side is a double-disc live album by American heavy metal band Danzig. It was recorded at various shows between 1992 and 2000, and was released in 2001 on Glenn Danzig's Evilive Records label, distributed by Restless Records. It is the first official, full-length live album from the band, however, the 1993 EP, Thrall-Demonsweatlive and select CD singles have featured live material. In fact, Thrall-Demonsweatlive, includes four additional live tracks from the Halloween '92 show that are not included on this release.

The Blessed and the Damned is a double CD best of compilation album by the American heavy metal band Iced Earth. The CD-booklet can be reversed, to show either angels or demons on the cover. The booklet also includes Jon Schaffer's comments on previous albums and his life. Even though the CD was released after The Glorious Burden, the biography in the booklet makes no mention of it. This is probably because Iced Earth left their record label Century Media Records prior to The Glorious Burden, and signed with SPV. In turn, Century Media released this compilation album.

Each track was remastered and the set came with a running commentary from Rod Smallwood. It covers all of their singles from their first to 2000's "Out of the Silent Planet", although several of the band's original B-sides were excluded from the collection: "Total Eclipse", "Mission From 'Arry" ; "Bayswater Ain't a Bad Place to Be" ; and "I Live My Way". Also missing are the band's cover of Thin Lizzy's "Massacre" and a number of live B-sides.
