The Kuwait national football team is the national team of Kuwait and is controlled by the Kuwait Football Association. Kuwait made one World Cup finals appearance, in 1982, managing one point in the group stages. In the Asian Cup, Kuwait reached the final in 1976 and won the tournament in 1980.

The 2015 AFC Asian Cup was an international football tournament that was held in Australia from 9 to 31 January 2015. The 16 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 23 players, including three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the tournament.
Each team can register a squad of 23 players, three of whom must be goalkeepers. Between the completion of the group stage and the start of the knockout stage, teams which reach the quarter-finals can replace up to four players in their squads but must be drawn from a provisional list of 35 players.
