The 26th Arabian Gulf Cup, known as Khaleeji Zain 26 for sponsorship reasons, was the 26th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup for the eight members of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation. The tournament was held in Kuwait from 21 December 2024 to 4 January 2025. [1] [2]

The draw was held on 9 November 2024 at 19:00  UTC+3 in Kuwait City .The eight teams were drawn into two groups of four, by selecting one team from each of the four ranked pots. Their positions were based on the FIFA ranking updated on 24 October.

The 2nd Arabian Gulf Cup was the second edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup. The tournament was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and was won by defending champions Kuwait for the second time. The tournament took place between 16 and 28 March 1972. Kuwait won their second consecutive title, edging out Saudi Arabia on goal difference after both nations finished with equal points. This was the first instance of the title being decided by goal difference.

The 22nd Arabian Gulf Cup was the 22nd edition of the biennial football competition, and took place between 13 and 26 November 2014 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This is a record of Iraq's results at the AFC Asian Cup. Iraq have appeared in the finals of the AFC Asian Cup on ten occasions: in 1972 and 1976, and from 1996 to 2023. Their best ever performance was becoming champions in the 2007 tournament held in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
