The 25th Annual Premios Gardel ceremony were held on May 16, 2023, at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, for the second consecutive year. [1] It recognized the best recordings, compositions and artists of the eligibility year, from January 1 to December 31, 2022, as determined by the members of the Argentine Chamber of Phonograms and Videograms Producers. The nominees for the different categories were announced on April 11 of the same year. [2] The ceremony was presented by Iván de Pineda, who hosted the 2019 ceremony; and broadcast live through the Star+ platform. [3] Rapper Trueno received the most nominations with nine, followed by singer Dante Spinetta with seven and the band Babasónicos with six. [4]

The 21st Annual Premios Gardel ceremony were held on May 14, 2019. The TNT Latin America networks broadcast the show live from the Ángel Bustelo Auditorium in Mendoza. It was the first time that the ceremony was held outside Buenos Aires. The ceremony recognized the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the eligibility year, which ran from January 1, 2016 to January 31, 2016. The nominations were announced on April 16, 2019 at the Néstor Kirchner Cultural Centre in Buenos Aires.

Natalia "Nathy" Peluso is an Argentine and Spanish singer. Born in Argentina and raised in Spain, Peluso became interested in the performing arts at an early age, performing cover songs at musical bars in her teenage years. After graduating King Juan Carlos University, Peluso relocated to Barcelona to pursue a professional career in music, with her first releases Esmeralda (2017) and La Sandunguera (2018) being confected independently. Peluso slowly started to become recognized in Spain. After signing Sony Music, she started working on her breakthrough album Calambre (2020) for which she won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2021.

The 23rd Annual Premios Gardel ceremony was held on July 23, 2021, and it was presented with no in-person ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The television broadcast of the show was in charge of the TNT Latin America, while LRA Radio Nacional provided radio coverage. The ceremony recognized the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the eligibility year, which ran from January 1, 2020 to January 31, 2020. The nominations were announced on May 7, 2021. The ceremony was hosted by television personalities Jey Mammón and Eleonora Pérez Caressi.

Rafael “Rafa” Arcaute, is an Argentine songwriter, record producer and recording engineer. He has worked with several Latin American artists including Luis Alberto Spinetta, Shakira, C Tangana, Nathy Peluso, Illya Kuryaki & The Valderramas, Calle 13, Christina Aguilera, Babasónicos and Andrés Calamaro. He has received eighteen Latin Grammy Awards, including two wins for Producer of the Year, and he has also won two American Grammys.

It will recognize the best recordings, compositions and artists of the eligibility year, from January 1 to December 31, 2023, as determined by the members of the Argentine Chamber of Phonograms and Videograms Producers. The nominees for the different categories were announced on April 30 of the same year. The ceremony will be broadcast on Star+ and Star Channel.
