Vision Brisbane was a planned 283-metre (928 ft) skyscraper in Brisbane, Australia. The design was 72 storeys high, and would have become Brisbane's tallest, Queensland's second tallest, and Australia's third tallest building if completed. The design was scrapped and replaced by two new buildings, known by the name 111+222.
The Marina Torch, also known as Dubai Torch, Dubai Torch Tower, and The Torch, is a residential skyscraper in Dubai Marina in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is 352 metres (1,155 ft) tall, with 86 floors above ground, and became the tallest residential building in the world on its completion in 2011, surpassing Q1 in Gold Coast, Australia. It lost the record in 2012 to Dubai's Elite Residence. The building was damaged by fire on 21 February 2015, on 4 August 2017, while it was undergoing restorative work, and again on 5 January 2019.
Trilogy Tower, was a commercial development proposed in Brisbane, Australia located at 480 Queen Street. Trilogy Tower was expected to be Brisbane's second tallest building after Vision Brisbane. The tower was to feature 30,000m² of commercial office space, 192 one and two bedroom hotel apartments, and 109 single and double story residential apartments. The tower's name was derived from these three components.

Deansgate Square, formerly known as Owen Street, is a skyscraper cluster on the southern edge of Manchester City Centre, consisting of four skyscrapers, the tallest of which is 201 metres. The site is just south of Deansgate railway station and north of the Mancunian Way, bounded by Old Deansgate, Pond Street, Owen Street and the River Medlock. Manchester City Council adopted a framework in the early 2000s, known as the Great Jackson Street Development Framework, which earmarked the site as an acceptable location for high-rise buildings. The framework was enacted to encourage building development as the site had been vacant for many years and was perceived to be isolated as it was bounded by major arterial roads.

One Queensbridge was a proposed mixed–used supertall skyscraper to be located in the Southbank precinct of Melbourne, Australia. The skyscraper would have become the tallest building in Melbourne, surpassing the height of Australia 108, and the tallest building in Australia, eclipsing the height of Q1. In addition to being the tallest, the development would have been one of the biggest single–building projects in Australia, encompassing 300,376 square metres of floor area.

The building comprises 144 serviced apartments and student accommodation from level 8 to 25 as well as 248 one and two bedroom residential apartments from level 26 to 56. A full floor resident's sky pool and terrace will be located on level 58. The development involves the retention of the historic King George Chambers building at the front of the site as a foyer and the main pedestrian access point to the new tower.

Due to its unique design the tower is described as a high rise Queenslander.
