The 41st Hong Kong Film Awards presentation ceremony took place at Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 16 April 2023. [1] Nominations were announced on 9 February 2023. [2] The Sparring Partner received 16 nominations most for any film and Detective vs Sleuths , Warriors of Future , and Table for Six with 11 nominations each were second. [3]

To My Nineteen Year-Old Self surprisingly won the Best Film award, which made the first time in history a Hong Kong documentary film won this award; while Wai Ka-fai won the Best Director award for his work on Detective vs Sleuths . Detective vs Sleuths won most awards at the ceremony. [4]

Detective vs Sleuths is a 2022 Hong Kong action thriller film directed, co-written and co-produced by Wai Ka-fai, starring Sean Lau, Charlene Choi, Raymond Lam and Carman Lee. The film follows a former police with a mental disorder (Lau), who works with an elite inspector (Choi) in a series of murders which are seemingly connected to past cases they've once inspected. They find themselves in a race against time to find out the truth and the mastermind behind these murders.

<i>Table for Six</i> 2022 Hong Kong comedy film

Table for Six is a 2022 Hong Kong comedy film written and directed by Sunny Chan. It was written as a sequel to the 2015 short film Table for Three. The film is centered around the classical Chinese motifs of shared meals and dysfunctional family ties. It was initially scheduled to be released on 1 February 2022, the first day of the Lunar New Year, but it was postponed until 8 September 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
