6th Indiana Battery Light Artillery was an artillery battery that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.
The battery was organized at Evansville, Indiana and mustered in September 7, 1861, at Indianapolis, Indiana, for a three-year enlistment under the command of Captain Frederick Behr.

The 4th Missouri Cavalry Regiment, also known as the Fremont Hussars, was a cavalry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Elements of the regiment fought at Pea Ridge, Whitney's Lane, Little Blue River, Byram's Ford, Westport, Marais des Cygnes, Marmiton River, and Mine Creek. The 1st Missouri Light Artillery Regiment was formed 1 September 1861. Battery M fought at Island Number Ten, 1st Corinth, Iuka, and 2nd Corinth in 1862. The unit participated in several battles during the Vicksburg campaign in 1863. Battery M fought at Meridian, Fort DeRussy, Pleasant Hill, Yellow Bayou, and Tupelo in 1864. After serving on garrison duty in west Tennessee, the battery mustered out on 25 July 1865.
Battery K, 1st Illinois Light Artillery Regiment was an artillery battery from Illinois that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The battery was organized in January 1862 at Shawneetown and spent most of 1862–1863 on guard duty in western Kentucky. However, part of the battery participated in Grierson's Raid and the Siege of Port Hudson in 1863. The battery fought at Okolona, Tupelo, Spring Hill, and Franklin in 1864. The battery mustered out of Federal service in December 1864; new recruits and re-enlisted veterans transferred to Battery E, 1st Illinois Light Artillery Regiment.
