DJ Cleo has enjoyed a long and fruitful career in the South African music industry, he produced successful singles and albums for various artists before going on to produce and release his debut album "Es'khaleni" in 2004. His 2012 Single "Facebook" earned him three awards at 18th SAMA. His eleventh album Eskhaleni 11 (2019), which include single "Yile Gqom" and Yile Piano, Vol. 1 (2019).

Yamikani Janet Banda; known professionally as Lady Zamar, is a South African singer and songwriter. She was born on 19 June 1995 in Tembisa, South Africa and was raised in Thembisa. She mainly incorporates elements of house music in her songs and primarily sings in English which appeals to a wide audience. In 2019 she was a guest judge on the Idols South Africa television show.

Sanele Tresure Sithole, known professionally as Sun-El Musician, is a South African disc jockey, music producer, and songwriter. Born and raised in Mooi River. He attended University of KwaZulu-Natal but dropped out to pursue a career in music. His debut studio album Africa to the World (2018), which was certified gold by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).

She rose to fame after being featured on a single "Umlilo" by DJ Zinhle, which has been dubbed 3× platinum by RISA with over 9 million YouTube video views. Rethabile Khumalo was declared a platinum selling musician after her hit single 'Ntyilo Ntyilo' became platinum in August 2021.

Sandile Msimango, popularly known by his stage name Young Stunna is a South African singer. He is known for his hit singles "Bopha" and "Adiwele". He has also extensively worked with record producers DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.

Nicodimas Sekheta Mogashoa, professionally known as Da Capo, is a South African DJ and record producer. Born and raised in Seshego, Da Capo rose to prominence after remixing the single "Pretty Disaster" by Moneoa. He then signed a recording deal with Soulstic Music and his studio debut album Indigo Child (2017), which was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).

Kabelo Petrus Motha is a South African DJ and record producer, popularly known as Kabza De Small. He is a major figure in the amapiano genre of house music. Aside from his solo career, Motha is a member of the Scorpion Kings. Motha gained international recognition after the release of "Umshove", in 2018.

Mandisa Radebe professionally known as DBN Gogo, is a South African DJ and music producer. Born Durban and raised in Pretoria, she garnered local attention following release of her debut single "Khuza Gogo", which was certified platinum in South Africa.

The 2022 Basadi in Music Awards is the first edition of Basadi in Music Awards. The ceremony took place at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand on October 15, 2022 hosted by Anele Zondo and Moozlie streamed live on YouTube and Instagram.
