A. Subba Rao (October 1919-14 September 2003) was an Indian politician and leader of Communist Party of India. He was former minister for Irrigation in Kerala from 25-01-1980 to 20-10-1981. He represented Manjeshwar constituency in 6th and 7th Kerala Legislative Assembly. He was member in Rajya sabha from 1958 to 1964. [1]

Pinarayi Vijayan is an Indian politician who is the current Chief Minister of Kerala, serving since 25 May 2016. A member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), he is the longest-serving secretary of the Kerala State Committee of the CPI(M) (1998–2015). He also served in the government of Kerala as Minister of Electric Power and Co-operatives from 1996 to 1998. Vijayan won a seat in the May 2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly election as the CPI(M) candidate for Dharmadom constituency and was selected as the leader of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and became the 12th Chief Minister of Kerala. He is the first chief minister from Kerala to be re-elected after completing a full term in office.

Aruvanpalli Puthiyapurakkal Abdullakkutty (born 8 May 1967) is an Indian politician. He was elected as the National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 26 September 2020. He has also served as the BJP Vice President of Kerala state. He is also a former member of Lok Sabha from Kannur and ex-MLA from Kannur constituency of Kerala state.

Kunjan Pillai was an Indian researcher, lexicographer, poet, essayist, literary critic, orator, grammarian, educationist, and scholar of the Malayalam language, best remembered for his contributions in compiling Malayala Maha Nighantu, a lexicon. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padmashri in 1984 for his contribution to Malayalam literature and education. He was a former leader of Indian National Congress in Kerala and joined Bharatiya Janata Party on 20 April 2019. He has been elected to the Lok Sabha three times during 80s and 90s, and was also a minister in the Rajiv Gandhi ministry and Rao ministry. He served as a member of the Lok Sabha representing Quilon. He was elected to 8th, 9th and 10th Lok Sabha.
