Andreea Ioana Moldovan (born 28 September 1989), professionally known as AMI, is a Romanian singer and songwriter. She rose to fame following her 2012 single "Trumpet Lights" with producer David Deejay. [2]
AMI was born on 28 September 1989 in the city of Baia Mare. She made her music debut at the age of 3 after her parents noticed her talent. The first contest she participated in was a local music festival, where she won the grand prize for her performance of the song "Un actor". She attended classes at the Children's Palace in Baia Mare and participated in numerous national and international festivals. She also studied the violin for 12 years. [3]
AMI moved to Bucharest in the 12th grade, took and passed the baccalaureate exam and attended the courses of the National University of Music, Jazz Composition-Light Music section. [4]
Since 2009, the artist has been active in Paula Seling's vocal backing band, and in 2011 she participated in the first edition of the X Factor talent contest, broadcast by Antena 1. [5]
AMI's debut single was released on 27 August 2012 is titled "Trumpet Lights" and is a collaboration with Glance. [2] The song composed by David Deejay reached 3rd place in the Top Airplay 100 and benefited from a video made by Vali Bărbulescu and the VB Visuals team. [6]
In September 2013, AMI was invited to sing the song "Deja Vu" with Grasu XXL. [7] The song enjoyed success, occupying the first position at the top of the most broadcast songs in Romania. [8] For the artist, "Deja Vu" is both the first single in Romanian and a change of musical style. [9] For this single, Grasu XXL and AMI won four awards at the Media Music Awards Gala in September 2014. [10]
AMI accepted the challenges of survival shows and participated in the reality TV shows Ferma vedetelor in 2016 on Pro TV and Exatlon Romania in 2019 on Kanal D. [11] [12]
In 2019, AMI, together with Roxen, Theea Miculescu, Mihai Alexandru Bogdan and Viky Red, composed Roxen's debut single, entitled "Ce-ți cântă dragostea". The song became a hit in early 2020, peaking at number one in the Top Airplay 100 in March, 81 days after its release. [13]
The year 2020 brought her collaborations with B.U.G. Mafia for "8 zile din 7", Killa Fonic for "Antidot", Mark Stam for "Ca să fii fericit", and Florian Rus for "Regrete". In December 2020, AMI won the fifteenth season of the show Te cunosc de undeva! , broadcast by Antena 1. [14]
In 2020, AMI was chosen to dub a character in Romanian in the animated movie Scoob! [15]
On 28 April 2021 the singer released the single "Enigma", a new collaboration with Tata Vlad from B.U.G. Mafia. [16] "Enigma" is the first single from the upcoming album of the same name and reached number 3 in the Top Airplay 100 and remained in the Top 10 for another 12 weeks. [17]
The first single from 2022 is called "Butterfly Dance", which is a collaboration with Sasha Lopez and was released on 28 April. [18]
On 6 October 2023 the song "Nostalgia" was presented, with music composed by David Deejay and AMI, and lyrics written by AMI and Florian Rus. [19]

Holograf is a pop rock band from Bucharest, Romania. Since the band's formation in 1978, Holograf released 18 albums. The band won the Excellence Prize at Romanian Media Music Awards in 2013, the awards for best pop-rock artist and best pop-rock song at Radio Romania Music Awards Gala in 2014 and was nominated multiple times at Romanian Music Awards for Best Group and for Best Song.
DJ Project is a Romanian dance music group, initially consisting of producers Gino Manzotti and DJ Maxx along with singer Elena Baltagan. The group was formed in 2000 in Timișoara, with their first album, Experience, released in 2001.
Delia Matache, commonly referred to as simply Delia, is a Romanian singer, television personality and actress. She was part of the pop group N&D (1999–2003). As solo artist, she has established herself as one of the most successful Romanian artists, releasing multiple hit singles on native record charts.
Play & Win is a Romanian songwriting and music production project that was formed as a trio in 2008 by Radu Bolfea, Marcel Botezan and Sebastian Barac. It became a solo project by Bolfea after Botezan and Barac left and formed Marco & Seba in 2013. The production team have more than 500 songs to their credit registered at the PRS. As Play & Win, they have been produced some of Romania's biggest dance music hits, collaborating with artists including Inna, Akcent, 3rei Sud Est, and Cătălin Josan. As a musical group, they have released numerous singles that have charted on various music charts.
Vlad Irimia, primarily known by his stage name Tata Vlad, formerly Tataee, is a Romanian record producer, rapper, record executive, and music manager. He is one of the founders of the influential Romanian hip hop trio B.U.G. Mafia, also having produced albums and overseeing the careers of many acclaimed Romanian hip hop artists, such as La Familia, XXL & 10 Grei, Mahsat and JerryCo. As a music producer, he is frequently credited as one of the pioneers and key figures in the architecture of the Romanian version of gangsta rap, a style of music that closely resembles its American counterpart but also includes various local influences derived from balkan music or, more recently, electronica.
"Déjà Vu" is a song by Romanian musician Bob Taylor and Romanian recording artist Inna for the latter's debut studio album, Hot (2009). Released in June 2009, it was written and produced by Sebastian Barac, Radu Bolfea and Marcel Botezan. Musically, the single is of the dance genre, and originally contained the vocals of Romanian singer Alessia. However, after a feud over compensation between Taylor and her, the song was handed to Inna, although the early version had already been released.
Te cunosc de undeva! is the Romanian version of the talent show, Your Face Sounds Familiar. The first series premiered on 17 March 2012 on Antena 1. The show is hosted by Cosmin Seleși and Alina Pușcaș. Its panel of judges includes Andreea Bălan, Ozana Barabancea, Aurelian Temișan and Cristi Iacob.
"In Your Eyes" is a song recorded by Romanian singer Inna for her third studio album, Party Never Ends (2013). It was released on 3 November 2013 through Roton, featuring the vocal collaboration of Puerto Rican reggaeton performer Yandel. The track–recorded at the Rokstone Studios–was written by Steve Mac, Yandel and Ina Wroldsen, while production was solely handled by Mac. Musically, "In Your Eyes" is inspired by Latin music and encompasses a hip hop style because of Yandel's contribution.

"Bop Bop" is a song recorded by Romanian singer Inna for her eponymous and fourth studio album (2015) and its Japanese counterpart, Body and the Sun (2015). Featuring the vocals of American recording artist Eric Turner, it was made available for digital consumption on 14 July 2015 through Roton and Empire Music. The recording was written by Sebastian Barac, Carl Bjorsell, Marcel Botezan, Julimar J-Son Santos, Thomas Troelsen and Eric Turner, while production was handled by Bjorsell, Troelsen, Turner and Play & Win. A dance-pop track, "Bop Bop" was described as a departure from the singer's previous work.

"Acadele" is a song recorded by Romanian singer Delia, and digitally released on 5 November 2018 through Cat Music as a single from her fifth studio album 7 (2020). Alex Cotoi produced the song and co-wrote it with Delia. "Acadele" is a trap song, which is a departure from Delia's previous pop works. In its candy-themed lyrics, she discusses female empowerment and references the LGBT community in Romania. She also alludes to the 2018 Romanian constitutional referendum regarding the constitutional definition of a family.

Larisa Roxana Giurgiu, known professionally as Roxen, is a Romanian singer who rose to prominence after being featured on Romanian producer Sickotoy's "You Don't Love Me" (2019), which reached number three in Romania and received radio airplay in several other countries. The singer's following singles, "Ce-ți cântă dragostea" and "Spune-mi", eventually peaked atop the national chart. Roxen was scheduled to represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song "Alcohol You" before the event's coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related cancellation. Instead, Roxen was internally selected as the country's representative for the 2021 contest with the song "Amnesia", but failed to progress from the first semi-final, finishing in 12th place.

It was written by Theea Miculescu, Andreea Moldovan and Roxen, while production was handled by Mihai Alexandru Bogdan and Viky Red. An accompanying music video for "Ce-ți cântă dragostea" was uploaded to YouTube simultaneously with the single's digital release, and was directed by Raluca Netca. Upon release, the song experienced commercial success in Romania, peaking at number one on the Airplay 100 chart.
"Mamma Mia (He's Italiano)" is a song recorded and released as a single by Romanian singer Elena Gheorghe, featuring rapper Glance. This marks their second collaboration, the first one being the native number one single "Ecou" (2013). "Mamma Mia" was initially released for digital download and streaming in the United States on 5 August 2014 under Robbins Entertainment, and worldwide the following year in July under Cat Music.
