Although the company was formally inaugurated in 2006, Vikram Bhatt had directed successful Bollywood movies including Ghulam and Raaz. In the first two years of its establishment, the company produced Mumbai Salsa and 1920.
Vikram Bhatt is an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter and now also an actor. Formerly, he was the creative head of ASA Productions and Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.; however, he has resigned from the company in 2014.
Ghulam is a 1998 Indian Hindi gangster drama film, directed by Vikram Bhatt, and starring Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and Deepak Tijori in the lead roles. It is a remake of Vishesh Films' first production Kabzaa (1988), starring Sanjay Dutt, in turn inspired by Elia Kazan's On the Waterfront (1954). The movie was remade in Tamil in 2000 as Sudhandhiram.
Raaz is a 2002 Indian horror film directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Kumar S. Taurani, Ramesh S. Taurani. The film stars Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea as a couple who have moved to Ooty to save their failing marriage. However, what they find in their new home is more than they expected when a ghost starts haunting the place. The wife, Sanjana suddenly finds that her husband is part of the ghostly conspiracy, which she must fix to escape. The film is an unofficial adaptation of What Lies Beneath. The film was dubbed in Tamil and Telugu as Rahasyam.
