A Gran Plan is a 2012 English independent drama film written and directed by Sangeeta Nambiar, and produced by Prema Menon under the banner of Playacting Productions. It features veteran Indian actress Farida Jalal in the lead role.

Plot

The story of the film revolves around the lives of two individuals — Satvinder Kaur Bedi, a 68-year-old lady, and Oliver, her 10-year-old young boy neighbor. When they meet, they discover that both of them share some common problems regarding loneliness. Soon, they develop a strange but sensitive relationship which gains momentum over the period of time. The ways in which they overcome several hurdles in the form of age, language and culture, and finally communicate with each other to create an intimate long-lasting companionship forms the climax of the story.

A Gran Plan is produced by Prema Menon under the banner of Playacting Productions, a production house based in Singapore. The film is produced by Sangeeta Nambiar. Executive producers include Kimi Shaabi. Except Farida Jalal (who is based in India), almost all the crew members of A Gran Plan are based in Singapore. The entire film is shot in Singapore. [1]

Chak De! Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language buddy road comedy drama film directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment. Garam Coat was a 1955 Indian Hindi drama film, directed by Amar Kumar and written by noted writer Rajinder Singh Bedi, adapted from the short story, The Overcoat (1842) by Nikolai Gogol. Bedi set the story in the economic turmoil of the post-partition North India, also experiencing a collapse in human values, fractured social fabric and growing cynicism towards the state. However, beyond that, the story of the film diverges from the original; Bedi took the story to a completely different development and also gives it an optimistic ending, unlike the original, where the protagonist turns into a ghost. The film starred Balraj Sahni, Nirupa Roy, Jayant, Brahm Bhardwaj, Rashid Khan, and Vijayalaxmi. Music was by classical singer Pandit Amar Nath, and songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

Satrangi Sasural is a Hindi Indian soap opera, which was broadcast on Zee TV channel from December 2014 to March 2016. The show is an adaption of the Zee Marathi series Honar Sun Me Hya Gharchi. Satrangi Sasural is a story of love and marriage of Vihaan and Aarushi followed the journey of a beautiful middle-class girl Aarushi, who marries into a wealthy family in Delhi that consists of her husband Vihaan Vatsal and her seven mothers-in-law.
