Ira Robbins of Trouser Press wrote an enthusiastic review, saying it "simmers with backwoods weirdness and domineering intensity" and calling it "a dish of gutter-level grungeabilly and cohesively crude rock noise distinguished by guitarist John Forbes' devilish growl." [2]

Angst is the seventh studio album by German industrial band KMFDM, released on 12 October 1993 by Wax Trax! Records.
Birdy is the first soundtrack and sixth album overall by the English rock musician Peter Gabriel, for the movie of the same name, released in 1985. The album marked Gabriel's first work with producer Daniel Lanois. It was remastered with most of Gabriel's catalogue in 2002.

"Sidewalk Talk" is a song by American record producer John "Jellybean" Benitez from his first extended play, Wotupski!?! (1984). It was released on October 21, 1984, by EMI Records as the first single from the EP. The song was written by Madonna and produced by Benitez. They had initially met in 1983 and Benitez worked as a producer on Madonna's self-titled debut album. When he started work on his debut EP, Wotupski!?!, Madonna wrote "Sidewalk Talk" for him. The song features bass and electric guitars, synthesizers, piano as well drums. Lead vocals are sung by Catherine Buchanan, and additional chorus vocals by Madonna.
Nude is the fourth studio album by British pop group Dead or Alive, released in Japan, December 1988 and in Europe and U.S.A. July 1989 on Epic Records. The band lost their foothold in the UK and U.S. charts with this album, but it proved to be a massive success in Japan, where the single "Turn Around and Count 2 Ten" spent 147 days at number one. "Come Home " also topped the U.S. Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Much like their greatest hits package Rip It Up, the songs on Nude run together with no spaces in between to create a non-stop DJ-mix type presentation.

"Slateman" is a song by English industrial metal band Godflesh. It was released as a 7-inch single in 1991 through Sub Pop and later reissued on Earache Records as a CD, a 7-inch and a 12-inch. In 1996, the single was repackaged alongside Cold World (1991) on one disc by Earache Records as the compilation Slateman/Cold World. Both "Slateman" and its b-side, "Wound '91", were appended to the end of most issues of Godflesh's 1991 EP Slavestate.

Phantom 309 was an American noise rock band formed in Atlanta by Gary Held, John Forbes and Mac McNeilly. They existed for a brief amount of time and recorded one full-length album, titled A Sinister Alphabet, in 1989.
Metallic B.O. is a compilation album by American band the Long Ryders, released in 1989. It was assembled after the Long Ryders disbanded in 1987 by their fan club as an authorized C90 audio cassette release. It contains previously unreleased live recordings and studio outtakes, interspersed with snippets of radio dialogue and music between the actual tracks. The 90 minute tape was subsequently edited down to 75 minutes for CD reissue by Overground Records in 1990, and later by Prima Records in 2000.
