A Snow Capped Romance is the second studio album by American metalcore band 36 Crazyfists. It was released on March 16, 2004, by Roadrunner Records. "At the End of August" and "Bloodwork" were released as singles, the latter of which was featured in the 2004 film Resident Evil: Apocalypse .

The Tide and Its Takers is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band 36 Crazyfists. It was released on May 27, 2008. The band filmed a music video for the album's first single, "We Gave It Hell", with director Soren, who has previously worked with the likes of Behemoth and Unearth. The video was released on YouTube on May 6, 2008. The album reached number 155 on the Billboard 200 in its first week as well as number four on the Top Heatseekers, number 23 on the Hard Rock Albums, and number 11 on the Independent Albums chart. The Tide and Its Takers marks the highest first-week sales ever for the band in the US. The album also peaked at number 83 on the UK Albums Chart. This is the band's last release with longtime bassist Mick Whitney until their 2015 record Time and Trauma.

Andy Sneap is an English guitarist, record producer and composer with over 100 albums to his name, most of which have been produced at his Backstage Recording studios in rural Derbyshire. Some of the most critically acclaimed production work on albums include Deliverance by Opeth and Disarm the Descent by Killswitch Engage; for which he earned a Swedish Grammis and a US Grammy nomination, respectively. As a performer, he first built his reputation as one of the guitarists in the British thrash metal band Sabbat, and played with them up until their disbanding. He is currently one of the co-guitarists of the British heavy metal band Hell. The Sin and the Sentence is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Trivium. It was released on October 20, 2017, through Roadrunner Records and was produced by Josh Wilbur. The album is the first to feature fifth drummer Alex Bent, who replaced drummer Paul Wandtke. With the release of the album's title track, this album would also mark the return of frontman Matt Heafy's screaming vocals since the band's 2013 album Vengeance Falls, which were completely absent from the band's previous album Silence in the Snow due to an injury which caused Heafy to blow out his voice.

Lanterns is the seventh and final studio album by American metal band 36 Crazyfists. The album was released in the UK on September 29, 2017, and the band promoted it with a tour with DevilDriver and Cane Hill. Music videos were made and released for the singles "Better to Burn" and "Wars to Walk Away From". Vocalist Brock Lindow explained that the writing process helped him get over depression after a divorce from a 13-year marriage, and the results of his writing were "a lot more real and raw this time."
