Aahana Kumra is an Indian actress. Kumra is known for her television debut in Sony Entertainment Television's Yudh with Amitabh Bachchan and also for her lead role in the TV series Agent Raghav - Crime Branch with Sharad Kelkar, followed by leading roles in a number of feature films.

Early life

Kumra was born and brought up in Lucknow. [1] She had an inclination towards acting since childhood when she began theatre roles.

Career

In 2013, Kumra was cast in the television series Yudh - a 20-episode show starring Amitabh Bachchan in which Kumra plays the pivotal role of Bachchan's daughter. Later, she starred in Agent Raghav – Crime Branch , a biweekly television crime thriller show, as the female lead Agent Trisha Dewan opposite Sharad Kelkar. Kumra won Best Actress Award at the Third Moida International Awards for her short film Siberia. She made her Hindi feature film debut in Sona Spa in 2013, and her Tulu feature film debut in 2015 in Kudla Cafe . She hosted the Pro Kabbadi 2016 series. <i>Paa</i> (film) 2010 Indian film directed by R. Balki

Paa (transl. Father) is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by R. Balki, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Vidya Balan. Jaya Bachchan makes a cameo appearance in the opening credits of the film as a narrator. The film is inspired by the 1996 Hollywood film Jack as per some reports and is based on the relationship of a boy with a rare genetic condition known as progeria and his parents. Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, in real life, are father and son respectively, but in Paa, they played opposite roles. The film was released worldwide on 4 December 2009. Veteran composer Ilaiyaraaja scored the music. The film was critically acclaimed in India and fared well at the box office. Despite a warm reception from Indian film critics, the film received mixed reviews from overseas film critics, according to the websites Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes. Amitabh Bachchan received his third National Film Award for Best Actor at the 57th National Film Awards for his performance and his fifth Filmfare Award for Best Actor and Vidya Balan got her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

<i>Yours Truly</i> (2018 film) 2018 Indian film

Yours Truly is a 2018 Indian romantic drama film directed by Sanjoy Nag. The film stars Soni Razdan, Pankaj Tripathi and Aahana Kumra, with Mahesh Bhatt in a special appearance. It is an official adaptation of one of the stories from the book LOVE STORIES #1 TO 14 authored by Annie Zaidi and published by HarperCollins. The film is Shiladitya Bora's maiden production under Platoon One Films in association with MDC Filmworks, Lighthouse Innoventures and Basabaari Talkies. The film got acquired by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) and had its world digital premiere on 3 May 2019 on ZEE5.

<i>Jhund</i> (film) 2022 Indian film by Nagraj Manjule

Jhund is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports film based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sandip Singh, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni and Meenu Arora under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt.Ltd and Aatpat Films. The filming began in December 2018 at Nagpur. The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akash Thosar, Rinku Rajguru and Ankush Gedam, is written and directed by Nagraj Manjule.

Bombers is a sports drama web series starring Ranvir Shorey, Aahana Kumra, Sapna Pabbi and Varun Mitra in lead roles. The series follows the trials and tribulations of the fictional Chandannagar-based football club Bombers FC - primarily set in West Bengal. The football-based web series was released by ZEE5 on 22 June 2019 as a part of its on-demand content streaming service. Bombers is directed by Vishal Furia and written by Vishal Kapoor.
