Abbas Musliyar was the founder of [1] [2] Al Madeena Islamic complex, Mangalore. He was also known as Sharaful Ulama Manjanady Abbas Ustad.[ citation needed ] He was one of the Sunni Muslim leaders of Karnataka and North Kerala. He was born in Madikeri, India. Musliyar died on 28 July 2019 after a brief illness. [3]

Grand Mufti of India Senior and influential religious authority of the Muslims in India

The Grand Mufti of India is the most senior and influential religious authority of the Islamic Community of India. The incumbent is Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, general secretary of All India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama, who was conferred the title in February 2019 at the Gareeb Nawaz Peace Conference held at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi, organised by the All India Tanzeem Ulama-e-Islam.
