Abdel Kader Rabieh (7 July 1958 – 13 July 2010) was an Egyptian basketball player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1984 Summer Olympics. [1]
Egypt competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, United States. The nation returned to the Summer Games after participating in the African boycott of the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal and the American-led boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. However, Egypt did not participate in the Soviet-led boycott. 114 competitors, 108 men and 6 women, took part in 74 events in 15 sports.
Egypt sent a delegation to compete at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, China. The 38 member strong team won 12 medals, 4 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze. Sports Egypt participated in included athletics, powerlifting and table tennis Among Egypt's representatives included Fatma Omar and Sherif Othman in powerlifting, Mohammed Beshta, Mahmoud El-Attar, Hossam Abdel Kader and Mohammed El-Sayed Abdel Kader in athletics and Fayza Hafez in table tennis.
