The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.

The 1962 World Rowing Championships were the inaugural world championships in rowing. The competition was held in September 1962 on the Rotsee in Lucerne, Switzerland. Rowers from West Germany dominated the competition, winning five of the seven boat classes.

Hamidou Diallo is an Guinean-American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats. He was a consensus 5-star prospect, and one of the top rated basketball players in the class of 2017. Diallo is of Guinean descent. His parents, Abdoulaye and Marima, emigrated to New York from Guinea. He won the 2019 Slam Dunk Contest.
Hamidou Diawara is a Senegalese sprinter. He competed in the men's 4 × 100 metres relay at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
Hamidou M'Baye is a Senegalese hurdler. He competed in the 400 metres hurdles at the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 1996 Summer Olympics.
The men's welterweight event was part of the boxing programme at the 1988 Summer Olympics. The weight class allowed boxers of up to 67 kilograms to compete. The competition was held from 20 September to 1 October 1988. 44 boxers from 44 nations competed. Robert Wangila won the gold medal.
