Abdus Sattar is a politician in West Bengal, India, belonging to the Indian National Congress. He was a former Communist Party of India (Marxist) Politician. After the 2006 West Bengal state assembly election (in which he was elected MLA from the Amdanga constituency) he became Minister of State for Minorities Development, Welfare and Madrasah Education in the Left Front Ministry. [1] Sattar was the president of the West Bengal Madrasah Board before serving as minister. [2]

Primarily he is a professor of Bengali literature and language and a research scholar of Rabindra literature.

After his defeat in Lok Sabha Elections 1998, from Calcutta North East, he left Congress and joined All India Trinamool Congress. Pande died in Mumbai on 20 February 2022, at the age of 71. He suffered from kidney ailments prior to his death.

Abdul Sattar Abdul Nabi is an Indian politician from Maharashtra. He was briefly a minister in 2014 in the Congress government in Maharashtra. In 2019 he left Congress and joined Shiv Sena. He is a three term Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Sillod constituency. He served as the state's Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry.
