The Delhi Conspiracy case,also known as the Delhi-Lahore Conspiracy,refers to an attempt made in 1912 to assassinate the then Viceroy of India,Lord Hardinge by throwing a local self-made bomb of Anushilan Samiti by Basanta Kumar Biswas,on the occasion of transferring the capital of British India from Calcutta to New Delhi. Hatched by the Indian revolutionaries underground in Bengal and Punjab and headed by Rash Behari Bose,the conspiracy culminated in the attempted assassination on 23 December 1912,when a homemade bomb was thrown into the Viceroy's howdah as the ceremonial procession was moving through the Chandni Chowk suburb of Delhi.

Dr. Amit Mitra is an Indian economist and politician and the current Special Advisor to Chief Minister of West Bengal on Finance. Previously he was the Finance,Commerce &Industries Minister of the government of Indian state of West Bengal. He was the incumbent MLA in the West Bengal state assembly from the Khardaha state assembly constituency. Cited as a giant killer in the 2011 West Bengal state assembly election defeating Asim Dasgupta,the former West Bengal Finance Minister. Jagdeep Dhankhar is an Indian politician and lawyer,serving as the 14th and current vice president of India since 2022. He previously served as the Governor of West Bengal from 2019 to 2022. He also served as a Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs in the Chandra Shekhar ministry from 1990 to 1991. He was a member of Lok Sabha from 1989 to 1991 and later a Member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from 1993 to 1998. He has also been affiliated with multiple political parties in India,including the Bharatiya Janata Party,Indian National Congress and Janata Dal.
