Abebu Gelan Adugna (born 18 January 1990) is an Ethiopian female long-distance runner who competes mainly in road running competitions. She has represented Ethiopia three times internationally, competing as a junior at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 2007, then twice as a senior at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships (2008, 2009). She was a team gold medallist at the 2008 World Half Marathon. Her half marathon best of 67:57 minutes was achieved in 2009. [1] [2] This time was a world junior best for the distance.
She won the Agadir Half Marathon and Cross de l'Acier races in 2008, then had further wins in 2009 in North America at the Rock 'n' Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon and Vancouver Sun Run. Her best half marathon race came at the RAK Half Marathon in 2009, where she was fourth. In 2009, she also had top three finishes at the Azalea Trail Run and Crescent City Classic. After a break in competition, she returned in 2013 with a focus on longer distances. She failed to match her previous performances at 10K and the half marathon and instead made progress in the marathon, having a winning debut at the Belgrade Marathon with a run of 2:33:14 hours. She was runner-up on her next outing at the Košice Peace Marathon but returned to the top of the podium at the 2016 Brescia Marathon. [3]

Gelete Burka Bati is an Ethiopian middle-distance and long-distance runner. She was born in Kofele in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region, the same district as double Olympic champion Haile Gebrselassie.

She was retrospectively confirmed as the winner of the 2010 London Marathon after the top two were disqualified. Her personal best of 2:19:31 hours is a former Ethiopian record for the distance and places her within the top ten of all-time.
Emebt Etea Bedada is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes in road running competitions. She emerged quickly as a junior (under-19) runner with an African Junior Championships double in the 1500 metres and the 3000 metres. She was a junior bronze medalist at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 2008.
Feyisa Lilesa is an Oromo long-distance runner from Ethiopia. He became the youngest man to run under 2:06 when he ran 2:05:23 in the men's marathon at the 2010 Rotterdam Marathon. He set his personal best of 2:04:52 in the marathon when he came in second place at the 2012 Chicago Marathon.

She is a two-time team silver medallist at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. She has won the Dubai Marathon and Houston Marathon and has a personal best of 2:21:59 hours for the distance.
Belaynesh Oljira Jemama is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes mainly in 10K and half marathon races. She represented her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics, the 2013 World Championships and the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 2011 and 2013.
Erba Tiki Gelana is an Ethiopian professional long-distance runner who competes in marathon races. Her personal best of 2:18:58 had been the Ethiopian national record for the event from 2012 to 2017. She won the 2011 Amsterdam Marathon and the 2012 Rotterdam Marathon. She won the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics with a time of 2:23:07, a new Olympic record.
Bedan Karoki Muchiri is a Kenyan professional long distance runner who competes in track, cross country and road running disciplines. He represented Kenya at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics.

She was the 2015 winner of the Paris Marathon, improving her best by over six minutes in the process. She had her second win over the distance at the 2016 Beijing Marathon.
