Abhaya Hiranmayiis an Indian playback singer. She has recorded songs and provided backing vocals for film music in Malayalam and Telugu languages. [1]
Born in a creatively inclined family in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Hiranmayi did not take up any formal training in music until later. She learnt the basics of music from her mother Lathika, a postgraduate in music and a disciple of Prof. Neyyattinkara M.K. Mohanachandran and gained further knowledge by passively listening to musical lessons conducted by her father's brother, a professor at Swati Thirunal College of Music. Her father G. Mohan, was a programme producer for Doordarshan Kendra. [1]
Hiranmayi grew up in Thiruvananthapuram where she attended Carmel School. She studied engineering in Muslim Association College of Engineering Venjaramoodu Thiruvananthapuram before dropping out to pursue a career in music.
Abhaya was in a live-in relationship with composer Gopi Sundar, and in July 2018, Sundar revealed that they had been together for 9 years. [2] In May 2022, Gopi Sundar declared their break up by confirming his relationship with the singer Amrutha Suresh.
Hiranmayi started off her career in 2014 providing backing vocals for Malayalam film songs. [3] She made her debut through the song "Naku Penta Naku Taka" from the eponymous film, providing backup vocals in a Swahili dialect. [4] It was followed by "Thanne Thanne" from Dileep-Mamta Mohandas starrer Two Countries whose music composer, Gopi Sundar, used her voice as an interlude to the song. The same year, she crooned the song "Choti Zindagi" for the Telugu film Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju. [5] In 2016, she lent her vocals for the romantic ballad "Mazhaye Mazhaye" along with Karthik for the film James & Alice followed by Sathya directed by late Diphan and in the following year, "Koyikode Song", an ode to Kozhikode and its rustic music, composed by her longtime collaborator, Gopi Sundar for the Malayalam film Goodalochana became an instant hit post its release and got her first award at Asiavision Awards for excellence in singing. Malabar Gopalan Nair Sreekumar, better known as M.G. Sreekumar is an Indian playback singer, composer, music producer, television presenter and film producer, who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He has sung more than 25000 songs in various Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Sanskrit. He owns a music company named KMG Musics and the Saregama School of Music in Thiruvananthapuram. Minmini is a South Indian film playback singer. She is best remembered for the song "Chinna Chinna Aasai" from Roja, the debut work of film composer A. R. James & Alice is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language fantasy romantic drama film written and directed by Sujith Vaassudev starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Vedhika in the lead roles. Music is composed by Gopi Sundar. The film was released on May 5, 2016.
Premam (transl. Love) is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language coming-of-age romantic drama film co-written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti. It is a remake of the 2015 Malayalam film of the same name, and features Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan, portraying the respective roles played by Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi in the original, whilst Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameswaran reprise their roles from the original. Venkatesh and Nagarjuna appear in guest roles. The plot shows Vikram and his friends' life from teenage to adulthood.

Premam is the soundtrack album for the 2015 Malayalam film of the same name directed by Alphonse Puthren and starring Nivin Pauly. The original soundtrack and background score were composed by Rajesh Murugesan, who had collaborated with Puthren in the film Neram (2013). Shabareesh Varma, beside singing, wrote the lyrics for eight of the nine songs. One song "Rockaankuthu" which had lyrics written by Pradeep Palarr was sung by Tamil film composer Anirudh Ravichander. Charlie is the soundtrack to the 2015 Malayalam film of the same name directed by Martin Prakkat starring Dulquer Salmaan, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Aparna Gopinath. The soundtrack featured eight songs composed by Gopi Sundar with lyrics written by Rafeeq Ahamed and Santhosh Varma. Six of them were released as an album on 7 December 2015 through Muzik 247 label, while two of the songs—"Chithirathira" and "Chundari Penne" —released separately.
Bhale Bhale Magadivoy is the soundtrack to the 2015 film of the same name directed by Maruthi Dasari starring Nani. The soundtrack featured five songs composed by Gopi Sunder, and lyrics written by Ramajogayya Sastry, Sri Mani, and Bhaskarabhatla Ravi Kumar. The soundtrack was released by Lahari Music on 15 August 2015, after three songs from the album were preceded as singles.
