Abhilasha Gupta Nandi is a politician from Prayagraj,Uttar Pradesh,India. [1] She was mayor of the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation from 2012 to 2023. [2]
She was elected mayor on 7 July 2012, [3] becoming the youngest person to have been elected to the post. In the 2012 Mayoral election,she defeated her nearest rival Kamla Singh of the BJP by a comprehensive margin of more than 69,000 votes. [4] She is married to Nand Gopal Nandi. [5] [6]
She was arrested on 14 February 2014 [7] in a case related to the alleged violation of the model code of conduct in 2012 civic body polls. [8] Abhilasha and her husband Nand Gopal Nandi who was affiliated with Bahujan Samaj Party,have been expelled from the party for their alleged anti-party activities in a case related to the alleged violation of the model code of conduct in 2012 civic body polls [9] in March,2014.
She joined the BJP in January,2017,along with her husband Nand Gopal Nandi.[ citation needed ]
Gupta comfortably defended her post in the Mayoral elections of 2017,defeating her nearest rival,Samajwadi Party's Vinod Dubey,by more than 63,000 votes. [10]

Haji Parvez Ahmad is a Samajwadi Party politician who has served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in the state of Uttar Pradesh,India. He was elected by a margin of 414 votes to the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh in 2012 from Allahabad South constituency,when his closest rival was Nand Gopal Gupta of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He lost the same seat to Gupta,who had moved from the BSP to the Bharatiya Janata Party,in the 2017 elections. The winning margin on that occasion was 28,587 votes.

Aam Aadmi Party Delhi or AAP Delhi is a state wing of Aam Aadmi Party. AAP became a state party in Delhi in 2013. The party contested its first election in Delhi in 2013 and was successful in winning 28 seats in a hung assembly. It got outside support from Indian National Congress and Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister of Delhi but he resigned after 49 days due to differences with INC. In the following 2015 elections,AAP won 67 of the 70 seats in the assembly,limiting BJP at just 3 seats and INC with none and Kejriwal was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi. AAP formed the government again in the subsequent 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly election,winning 62 seats.
