Kenenisa Bekele Beyecha is an Ethiopian long-distance runner. He was the world record holder in both the 5000-metre and 10000-metre from 2004 (5,000m) and 2005 (10,000m) until 2020. He won the gold medal in both the 5000 m and 10,000 m events at the 2008 Summer Olympics. At the 2004 Olympics, he won the gold medal in the 10,000 m and the silver medal in the 5000 m.

Kellys Arias is a Colombian long distance runner who specialises in the marathon. She competed in the women's marathon event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She holds Colombia's women's division records in the marathon and the half marathon and in the lead up to the Rio Olympics she won the 2016 Panama City Half Marathon. On 8 July 2018 Arias won the 10,000 meters in 34:39.32 at the Colombian National Championships on the new track at Rafael Cotes Municipal Stadium in Barranquilla. The track was renovated in preparation for the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games where Arias finished 5th out of 7 runners in the 10k final in 35:01.57 on 29 July.

Kiplimo earned gold medals for the 5000 metres and 10,000 m at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. He is the 2020 World Half Marathon champion. He won silver and gold medal at the 2019 and 2023 World Cross Country Championships respectively. Kiplimo is the world record holder for the half marathon, which he set on 21 November 2021 in Lisbon with a time of 57:31.

Niyonkuru competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At the Olympics, he competed in the marathon. Niyonkuru has also competed in a World Junior Championships, two World Cross Country Championships, a Jeux de la Francophonie, a World Military Track and Field Championships and an Auray-Vannes Half Marathon.
