The Ada Foah Wave Farm is Africa's first wave farm commissioned in Ada Foah, Ghana. The 400 KW wave farm pilot project was developed by Swedish company Seabased. [1] On 20 March 2018, Seabased signed a contract with Ghanaian renewable energy developer TC's Energy to expand the project to 100 MW . [2] [3]
Wave power is the capture of energy of wind waves to do useful work – for example, electricity generation, water desalination, or pumping water. A machine that exploits wave power is a wave energy converter (WEC).
The United Kingdom is one of the best locations for wind power in the world and is considered to be the best in Europe. Wind power contributed 18% of UK electricity generation in 2018, making up 52% of electricity generation from renewable sources. Wind power in the UK is a popular low cost generation mode which is still dropping in price and delivers a rapidly growing percentage of the electricity of the United Kingdom.
Wind power is one of the main renewable energy sources in Australia. In 2019, wind power accounted for 8.5% of Australia's total electricity demand and 35.4% of total renewable energy supply. As of December 2019, there was 6,279 megawatt (MW) of installed wind power capacity and a further 21,845 MW of capacity was proposed or committed to the electricity sector in Australia as of February 2020. At the end of 2019 there were 101 wind farms in Australia, most of which had turbines from 1.5 to 3 MW. In addition, 30 projects with a combined installed capacity of more than 5,500 MW are either under construction or committed to be built in 2020/21 having reached financial closure. Solar power in Australia is a fast growing industry. As of September 2019, Australia's over 2.2 million solar PV installations had a combined capacity of 13,904 MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power, of which 3,290 MW were installed in the preceding 12 months. In 2019, 59 solar PV projects with a combined capacity of 2,881 MW were either under construction, constructed or due to start construction having reached financial closure. Solar accounted for 5.2% of Australia's total electrical energy production in 2018.

Redstone Solar Thermal Power (RSTP) is a planned solar power tower solar thermal power plant, located in Postmasburg, near Kimberley, in the Northern Cape Region of South Africa. Redstone Solar Thermal Power is 100 megawatts (MW), and will be a solar tower plant with molten salt energy storage. The project is based on the technology used in Solar Reserve's Crescent Dunes project in the US

Hornsdale Power Reserve is a grid-connected energy storage system co-located with the Hornsdale Wind Farm in the Mid North region of South Australia. It is promoted as the largest lithium-ion battery in the world.
The Murra Warra wind farm will be one of Australia's largest wind farms. Located on the plains of north-western Victoria, approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) north of the city of Horsham, it consists of up to 116 wind turbines with a maximum tip height of 220m.
Sotenäs is a wave farm located in Kungshamn, in the municipality of Sotenäs, Sweden. The facility consists of 36 wave energy converters (WECs), with a total installed capacity of nearly 3 MW. The generators are located at a depth of 50 m (160 ft). As per Seabased, the project would deliver electricity at approximately 10 cents per kWh. The wave farm, which is of point absorber type, is expected to be expanded by an additional 9MW, as per negotiations in 2018.
