Adam Fielding (born 19 March 1993) [2] is an English actor, known for his roles as Kirin Kotecha in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale and Aaron Turner in the Channel 4 drama Ackley Bridge . [3] [4]

Career

Fielding made his television debut in 2014 as Kirin Kotecha in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale , a role which he portrayed until 2016. [5] [6] [7] In 2017, he portrayed the role of Elijah Stubbs in two episodes of the BBC series In the Dark . [8] In 2018, Fielding landed a role in Krypton , [9] followed by the role of Aaron Turner in the Channel 4 drama Ackley Bridge . [10] His character began a relationship with Missy Booth (Poppy Lee Friar), which resulted in the couple going through an abortion and mutually breaking up. [11] [12]

Adam Barton is a fictional character from the ITV soap opera, Emmerdale, portrayed by Adam Thomas. The character and Thomas' casting was announced alongside that of the Barton family in May 2009. Thomas called Adam "a family man". The character first appeared during the episode broadcast on 17 July 2009. The series follows the lives of the staff and pupils at the fictional multi-cultural academy school Ackley Bridge College, in the fictitious Yorkshire mill town of Ackley Bridge. Missy Booth is a fictional character from the Channel 4 school drama Ackley Bridge, portrayed by Poppy Lee Friar. Missy first appeared in the pilot episode of the series, first broadcast on 7 June 2017. She is introduced as one of the programme's two protagonists alongside best friend Nasreen Paracha. Due to growing up with numerous responsibilities including being the carer of her family, Friar described her character as a "fighter". Despite this, Missy is also seen to be a rebellious and opinionated character who is popular at school, especially with the male students. One of the main themes explored throughout the series is her friendship with Nasreen, which Channel 4 billed as the "heart of the show". Both Friar and Hickman have accredited this to their real-life friendship, which they felt mirrored their onscreen friendship.

Liv Flaherty Fictional character from Emmerdale

Liv Dingle is a fictional character from the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, played by Isobel Steele. The character made her first on-screen appearance on 25 February 2016. Liv was introduced as part of her half-brother Aaron Livesy's sex abuse storyline, which would see her realise that her father is a sex offender. Liv is initially characterised as a troublemaker, but her depth is explored following the decision to move in with Aaron. Steele has noted that similar aspects of her character are similar to herself, and appreciates that Emmerdale wrote her as a teenage with authority since she felt that this is rarely seen on television. Liv became the first asexual character to be featured in a soap opera, and Steele has been praised by viewers and critics for her role in the storyline. Asexual people felt that the character was an accurate portrayal of themselves and Steele has expressed her gratitude at being able to represent them on-screen.
