Adam Ward is an American baseball coach and former catcher, who is currently the head baseball coach at Charleston Southern University. Ward played college baseball at Clemson University.

Playing career

Ward attended Hanahan High School in Hanahan, South Carolina. Ward played for the school's varsity baseball team. Ward then enrolled at the Clemson University, to play college baseball for the Clemson Tigers baseball team.

As a freshman at Clemson University in 2006, Ward didn't appear in a single game.

As a sophomore in 2007, Ward had a .000 batting average, a 1.000 on-base percentage (OBP) appearing in 3 games and having just a single plate appearance. [1]

In the 2008 season as a junior, Ward hit .375 while making one start and driving in 1 run. [2]

As a senior in 2009, Ward had a .167 batting average, a .375 on OBP and appeared in 6 games. [3]

Coaching career

Once Ward was out of college, he accepted the volunteer assistant coach for the Liberty baseball team. [4] Ward spent two seasons at Liberty, helping the team to a school record 43 wins in 2010. [5]

In 2011, Ward was hired as an assistant for Stuart Lake's staff on the Charleston Southern Buccaneers baseball team.

On January 26, 2017, Ward was named the interim head coach of the Buccaneers. [6] After a 22–29 season, Charleston Southern named Ward their permanent head coach on May 11, 2017. [7]

The 1940 Clemson Tigers football team was an American football team that represented Clemson College in the Southern Conference during the 1940 college football season. In their first season under head coach Frank Howard, the Tigers compiled a 6–2–1 record, won the Southern Conference championship, and outscored opponents by a total of 182 to 73.

Jamey Chadwell American football coach

Jamey Chadwell is an American football coach and former player and serves as the Head Coach and offensive coordinator at Coastal Carolina; he also served as interim head coach in the 2017 season while permanent head coach Joe Moglia was on a medical leave. He was named Head Coach of CCU on January 18, 2019. Chadwell was previously the head coach at Charleston Southern University for four seasons (2013–2016), North Greenville University for three seasons (2009–2011) and Delta State University for one season (2012). He grew up in Tennessee and attended East Tennessee State University where he played quarterback from 1995 to 1999. He began his coaching career in 2000 at East Tennessee State before taking an assistant position at Charleston Southern University in 2004.

Randy Mazey baseball coach

Randy Mazey is an American college baseball coach, head coach of the NCAA Division I Big 12 Conference's West Virginia Mountaineers since prior to the 2013 season. Mazey attended Clemson University, where he played baseball for the Tigers from 1985–1988. Following a brief professional playing career, Mazey began his coaching career in 1990 as an assistant at Clemson. He was the head coach of Charleston Southern from 1994–1996 and East Carolina from 2003–2005, leading both teams to NCAA Tournament appearances. Following seven years as an assistant at Texas Christian, Mazey was named the head coach at West Virginia in July 2012. Mazey was named the 2019 Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year.

Monte Wesley Lee is an American college baseball coach. He is the head coach for the Clemson Tigers baseball team. From 2009 until 2015, he was the head coach of the Charleston Cougars, his alma mater. Under Lee, the Cougars reached four NCAA Tournaments, including one NCAA Super Regional.

Jim Toman is an American college baseball coach and former player. He is currently the Head coach of the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders baseball program. He had been head coach of Liberty from the 2008 season until 2016. Under Toman, Liberty has qualified for two NCAA Tournaments.

2017 Clemson Tigers football team American college football season

The 2017 Clemson Tigers football team represented Clemson University during the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Tigers were led by head coach Dabo Swinney in his ninth full year and tenth overall since taking over midway through 2008 season. They played their home games at Memorial Stadium, also known as "Death Valley", and competed in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The 2017–18 Clemson Tigers men's basketball team represented Clemson University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by eighth-year head coach Brad Brownell, the Tigers played their home games at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 25–10, 11–7 in ACC play to finish in four-way tie for third place. They defeated Boston College in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament before losing in the semifinals to Virginia. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament where they defeated New Mexico State and Auburn to advance to the Sweet Sixteen where they lost to Kansas in the Sweet Sixteen. The Tigers 25 wins tied the most in program history and their 11 conference wins are the most in program history.

The 2017–18 Clemson Tigers women's basketball team represented Clemson University during the 2017–18 college basketball season. The Tigers, were led by fifth year head coach Audra Smith. The Tigers, members of the Atlantic Coast Conference, played their home games at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers finished the season 1–15 in ACC play, in last place in the conference regular season. The Tigers were the 15th seed in the ACC Tournament. They lost in the first round to Georgia Tech.

2017–18 Charleston Southern Buccaneers mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2017–18 Charleston Southern Buccaneers men's basketball team represented Charleston Southern University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Buccaneers, led by 13th-year head coach Barclay Radebaugh, played their home games at the CSU Field House in North Charleston, South Carolina as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 15–16, 9–9 in Big South play to finish in a four-way tie for fifth place. As the No. 8 seed in the Big South Tournament, they defeated Presbyterian in the first round before losing in the quarterfinals to UNC Asheville.

They played home games at Riggs Field. This was the team's 58th season playing organized men's college soccer and their 31st playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

They advanced to the quarterfinals of the ACC Women's Tournament where they lost to Louisville. They received an at-large bid of the NCAA Women's Tournament, which was their first trip 2002 where they defeated South Dakota in the first round before losing to Mississippi State in the second round.

Michael Anthony Hampton is an American college baseball coach and former third baseman. He is the interim head baseball coach at the St. John's University. Hampton played college baseball at Clemson University from 1993 to 1994 before pursuing a professional career from 1994 to 1997. In college, he was named an All-American in 1994.
