Radford University is a public university in Radford, Virginia, United States. It is one of the state's eight doctorate-granting public universities. Founded in 1910, Radford offers curricula for undergraduates in more than 100 fields, graduate programs including the M.F.A., M.B.A., M.A., M.S., Ed.S., Psy.D., M.S.W., and specialized doctoral programs in health-related professions. It is classified among "Doctoral/Professional Universities".

Collin Drafts is a former American football quarterback who played in the Arena Football League (AFL). He played college football at Charleston Southern University. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tri-Cities Fever in 2007.
Monte Wesley Lee is an American baseball coach, who is the associate head coach/hitting coach for the South Carolina Gamecocks. He played college baseball for the Charleston Cougars from 1996 to 1999. He then served as the head coach of the College of Charleston Cougars (2009–2015). Under Lee, the Cougars reached four NCAA tournaments, including one NCAA Super Regional. As the head coach of the Clemson Tigers (2016–2022), his teams made four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and was nationally ranked in the top 25 in total wins (2016-2022). Stuart Daniel Lake is an American college baseball coach who is currently the Coordinator of Baseball Administration / Director of Player Development for South Carolina Gamecocks baseball. He was named the Big South Coach of the Year in 2011, when the Charleston Southern Buccaneers went 29–30 and tied for third place in the conference after finishing last in 2010.

Joseph James Raccuia is an American college baseball coach and former player. Raccuia played college baseball at Edison Community College from 1992 to 1993 before transferring to Radford University where he played in 1994 and 1996. Raccuia was the head coach of Radford from 2008 to 2019.

They finished the season 18–16, 9–7 in Big South play to finish in a four-way tie for fifth place. They defeated UCS Upstate and Winthrop to advance to the semifinals of the Big South tournament where they lost to Radford. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated Florida Atlantic in the first round before falling in the second round to fellow Big South member Hampton.
Jonathan Elman Hadra is an American baseball coach and former first baseman. Hadra played college baseball at VMI from 2001 to 2004. He served as head coach of the VMI Keydets (2015–2022).

They defeated Presbyterian in the first round of the Big South tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Radford.
The 2019–20 Radford Highlanders men's basketball team represented Radford University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by ninth-year head coach Mike Jones, played their home games at the Dedmon Center in Radford, Virginia, as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 21–11, 15–3 in Big South play to win a share of the regular season championship. They defeated Charleston Southern in quarterfinals of the Big South tournament before losing in the semifinals to Hampton. As a regular season conference champion, and No. 1 seed in their conference tournament, who failed to win their conference tournament, they received an automatic bid to the NIT. However, the NIT, and all other postseason tournaments, were cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
George E. Schaefer Jr. is an American baseball coach and former pitcher. He played college baseball at Charleston Southern for coach Stuart Lake from 2009 to 2013. He then served as the interim head coach of the Charleston Southern Buccaneers in 2020.
Marc MacMillan is an American baseball coach and former utility player. He played college baseball at Ole Miss for coach Don Kessinger from 1993 to 1996. He then served as the head coach of the Crichton Comets in 2009.
Darris Nichols is an American basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach at Radford University, a role he has held since 2021.
Mitch Thompson is a baseball coach and former player, who is the current head baseball coach of the Baylor Bears. He played college baseball at Cloud County Community College in 1984, transferring to Bacone College in 1985, before ultimately transferring to Fort Hays State where he played from 1986 to 1988. He served as the head coach of the McLennan Highlanders (2013–2022).
Alexander Joseph Guerra is a baseball coach and former infielder, who is the current head baseball coach of the Radford Highlanders. He played college baseball at Greensboro in 2007 and 2008 before transferring to Radford from 2009 to 2011.
