The Charleston Southern Buccaneers baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the Charleston Southern University in North Charleston, South Carolina, United States. The team competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I and is a member of the Big South Conference, having served as a founding member in 1986. [2] [3]

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are the athletic teams that represent Coastal Carolina University. They participate in Division I of the NCAA as a member of the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) in most sports, having joined that conference as a full but non-football member on July 1, 2016. At that time, the football team began a transition from the second-level Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) to the top-level Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The 2014 Southern Conference baseball tournament was held from May 20 through 25 at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park in Charleston, South Carolina. The annual event determined the conference champion of the Division I Southern Conference in college baseball. Georgia Southern won the tournament for the sixth time, earning the league's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. This is the last of 18 athletic championships held by the conference in the 2013–14 academic year.

The season progressed through the regular season and concluded with the 1992 College World Series. The College World Series, held for the forty sixth time in 1992, consisted of one team from each of eight regional competitions and was held in Omaha, Nebraska, at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium as a double-elimination tournament. The 2015–16 Charleston Southern Buccaneers men's basketball team represented Charleston Southern University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Buccaneers, led by eleventh year head coach Barclay Radebaugh, played their home games at the CSU Field House and were members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 9–21, 5–13 in Big South play to finish in a four way tie for eighth place. They lost in the first round of the Big South tournament to Longwood.

The 2016 Colonial Athletic Association baseball tournament was held at CofC Baseball Stadium at Patriot's Point in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, from May 25 through 28. The event matched the top six teams from the CAA's regular season to determine the conference champion for the 2016 season. William & Mary won their second title, and first in 15 years, and earned the Colonial Athletic Association's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

Adam Ward is an American baseball coach and former catcher. He played college baseball for Clemson for coach Jack Leggett from 2006 to 2009. He then served as the head coach of the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (2017–2019).

The 2007 Charleston Southern Buccaneers football team represented Charleston Southern University as a member of the Big South Conference during the 2007 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by fifth-year head coach Jay Mills, the Buccaneers compiled an overall record of 5–6 with a mark of 1–3 in conference play, finishing fourth place in the Big South.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2024 Big South Conference baseball tournament</span> Collegiate baseball tournament

The 2024 Big South Conference baseball tournament was held from May 23 through 25 at Truist Point in High Point, North Carolina. The top four regular season finishers of the conference's nine teams met in the double-elimination tournament. The tournament champion, High Point, earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. This was the first ever conference championship and appearance in the NCAA tournament for High Point.
