Adar is a small town and rural commune in Taroudant Province of the Souss-Massa-Drâa region of Morocco. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 5098 people living in 1160 households.^[1]

Taroudannt is a province in the Moroccan economic region of Souss-Massa. Its population in 2004 was 780,661.

Souss-Massa-Drâa was formerly one of the sixteen regions of Morocco from 1997 to 2015. It covered an area of 70,880 km² and had a population of 3,601,917. The capital is Agadir. One of the major languages spoken in this region of Morocco is Tashelhit.

Morocco, officially the Kingdom of Morocco, is a country located in the Maghreb region of North West Africa with an area of 710,850 km² (274,460 sq mi). Its capital is Rabat, the largest city Casablanca. It overlooks the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.
