Jaya Prada Nahata is an Indian actress and politician known for her works majorly in Telugu cinema in addition to Hindi and Tamil films in late '70s, '80s and early '90s. Jayaprada is the recipient of three Filmfare Awards South and has starred in many Telugu and Hindi films along with several Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi films. She left the film industry at the peak of her career, as she joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1994 and entered politics. She was a Member of Parliament (MP) from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh from 2004 to 2014.

He made his film debut with the 1966 film Chilaka Gorinka produced and directed by K. Pratyagatma. Krishnam Raju had won five Filmfare Awards South and three state Nandi Awards. Krishnam Raju was also an active politician.

The film was simultaneously made along with the Telugu-language movie Adavi Simhalu, starring Krishna, Krishnam Raju, Sridevi, Jaya Prada in the pivotal roles. Both movies were made simultaneously by the same producer and director, some of the scenes and actors are identical in the two.

Made on a big-budget of ₹1.5 crore, Tandra Paparayudu was a major box-office failure. The film was featured at the 11th International Film Festival of India. It won two Nandi Awards.

Two roles of Dilip Kumar and Jeetendra are played by Krishnam Raju in Telugu. In Bobbili Brahmanna, the two lead roles are played by Krishnam Raju, while in Dharm Adhikari, the two roles are played by Dilip Kumar and Jeetendra.

This film is the debut of Jagapathi Babu as a hero, with double role performance, both the roles of Sanjay Dutt and Chunky Pandey are done by Jagapathi Babu in Telugu.

Rama Naidu on Suresh Productions banner. The film is about two sisters and their love triangle with a man. K. Raghavendra Rao remade the film in Hindi as Tohfa (1984), with both Sridevi and Jaya Prada reprising their roles. It was also remade in Tamil as Deiva Piravi (1985) and also remade into Bengali Bangladesh as Obuj Hridoy (1989).

The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Oru Painkilikatha (1984) which was earlier remade in Tamil as Thaaiku Oru Thaalaattu (1986). The film was recorded as a Super Hit at the box office.

Rama Rao, Savitri, Vijaya Nirmala and music jointly composed by T. V. Raju & Vijaya Krishna Murthy. A few of the scenes in the film are replicated in Swayamkrushi (1987), which was also directed by K. Viswanath.
